In Crew Pashley, we love listening and watching Numberock songs to help us with our Maths. This week, we have been learning to count by 10 and doubles through watching the Numberock videos! We are getting better at remembering lots of different number facts. Our favourite video is the doubles song below!
This term we have been writing about and reading Little Red Riding Hood. For our experience morning, in Crew Pashley, we made a witches potion ✨ for the Bad Wolf🐺 from Little Red Riding Hood. We discussed other ways to get rid of the wolf, like scaring him. The potion is used to get rid of the wolf when he eats grandma by turning him into a frog. We included lots of different things in our potions, including beads, pasta, rice and pom poms. We practised measuring out the potion into containers using a fake syringe, cups and the spoons.
KS1 AP loved been outdoors today bug hunting. There were loads to find after the bit of rain we had yesterday. Here is what we found🐛🪱🐌 even a spider web🕸️
Today in Crew Pashley, we practiced counting different amounts using different objects. We are practicing counting amounts larger than 20 this week. Today, Charlie counted how many treats we had in our treat tub, and how many conkers Miss Haddock had given us. We also matched the number card to the correct amount of apples on the matching card.
We started our new writing topic today by reading Little Red Riding Hood. Then, we chose items for our baskets to send to Granny’s house🏡We talked about which foods are healthy 🍌🍓🍎and not healthy.🍬🧁We chose which foods we would like when we are sick like Granny👵🏻.
In xp outdoors they played basket ball and looked for conkers
On Wednesday, we celebrated Roald Dahl day by watching clips from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We talked about what we would have in our own factory. Then, we wrote about Rice Krispy cakes using phonics and to practice our writing skills. 🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫

This week we have been learning about the Great Fire of London and Firefighters in Expedition. We practised our letter formation skills in Handwriting. In Maths, we practiced counting and adding numbers to kickstart our Place Value unit.
