The rain didn’t stop us 🌧

The weather wasn’t on our side during dinner time break today, but did it stop us? No!
Shelby wheeled the boom box up onto the field and Crew Robson followed by doing the conga and then we all danced in the rain ☔️
RE in Crew MI
Today we continued our learning around Christianity. We listened to a range music and discussed how and why they use music in worship. We listened for similarities and differences between them. Finally, we thought about what songs were special to us and what emotions they made us feel.

We also enjoyed tasting bread and learning about the Holy Communion.
Pea plant update🌱
We have been watering our pea plants every other day for the last week and we are so surprised by how fast they have grown. Today, we watered our plants and filled out our plant planner.

Thursday afternoon library visit 📚
Crew Thompson love a library visit! We get so excited browsing through the different books on offer and finding one that we want to take home to read. We noticed some beautiful bookmarks made by Crew McLoughlin and just had to take one for our own books. Thank you, Crew McLoughlin! 😀💕

Sports day prep continues…
Today the children have been practicing for the relay race which will be something they’ll need to do on sports day.

Well done to Kaleb and Ava who were the stars of the lesson 🤩

KS1 Fathers Day breakfast 🥓🧃
KS1 children and their grown ups had a lovely start to the day this morning! It was a pleasure to see so many grown ups enjoying time with their children. Thank you to all of those grown ups that attended! 👍

Fun at break time
We loved having new stuff out at break time today!

Planting peas 🪴🌱
This afternoon, we planted our own pea seed! We followed the instructions carefully and filled out our plant planner. We can’t wait to watch our pea grow and fill in our planner! 🌱

Teacher Swap 🧑🏫📖🔄
Today, as part of ‘Pyjamarama Day’ some of our teachers got to do a swap and read to another crew! Staff and children loved this so much when we did this last half term that we all wanted to do it again, and again it was a success! The teachers loved going to another crew and sharing their favourite book/s and the children loved welcoming another teacher into their crew and getting to experience listening to a new book! Some children also got to experience children from another doing a swap and coming into their crews to share a story, this was lovely to see the older children in school sharing a story children with some of our youngest!
