We can’t wait to see the ‘beautiful work’! Just to say a huge well done for how well behaved Year 4 were, you were brilliant – well done. Check out all our fun activities in the sun below:

1 Week back and 16 new children join Carcroft School

We are proud to say that due to the hard word of the staff last year, with the children producing quality final products like the one at Flamingo Land and the reputation of our Crews really supporting all children, 16 New Children have joined this school in our first week back!

We still have spaces; check out the link to arrange your child’s place.

I am really proud of the children and staff at Carcroft School. Parents deciding to move their children into our School shows that Carcroft School is on its way to be an outstanding school.

Viking Learning in Year 3: A fantastic visit to Murton Park

What an amazing day Year 3 have had on their visit to Murton Park!

The children spent the day fully immersed in the life of a Viking by becoming Vikings themselves! Dressed to impress, the children were invited to join a Viking Village and learnt how to make bread, make pottery, gather fire wood and become warriors to defend the village from Anglo-Saxon attacks.

The children behaved impeccably and had so much fun. They made us all proud and demonstrated how working hard to get smart doesn’t just happen in the classroom.

The pictures below will give you a flavour for our day, but look out for the video we will be posting soon with even more pictures and videos!

Challenging Learning

This morning I have seen many classes getting smart. They have been solving challenging maths questions, writing using high level punctuation and sharpening their art skills with critique. Well done guys!

School Fun

These children were enjoying the new play gym while showing off their great new uniforms.

This Week in the Phase: KS1

Check out all of our exciting adventures from the first week back of the new school year!

We’ve had a Hero hook day, explored indoor and outdoor provision and got stuck in with our learning!

This week in Crew Tucker… 3/9/21

This week has been our first week together as Crew Tucker and it has certainly been one to remember!

We have spent this week delving into our first expedition, ‘Coming to Doncaster; why then and why now?’ and our first case study which aims to answer the question, ‘Why did the Vikings come to Doncaster?’. Our Hook Week has involved lots of exciting activities: developing our artistic skills using clay to create dragon eyes and sketching dragons; becoming performers of dragon poetry; cooking using viking recipes and being detectives to investigate a mystery visitor who created havoc in the school hall and forest school!

Watch the video below to get a feel for yourselves for all the fun we have had this week.

Time and time again, the children have blown us all away with their positive attitudes, exemplary behaviour and excitement to learn new things; we can’t wait to watch them grow and develop further throughout the school year and will continue to share our learning with you on our blog.

Have a great weekend everyone!
