This morning in community crew, Crew MW looked at a lollipop person and what their job is. We talked about how they can help us to cross the road safely, and how we can cross the road safely if there isn’t a lollipop person to help us. We had lots of fun going into our outdoor area to practice crossing the road safely!
Remember: stop, look both ways, listen!

In crew we took part in a road safety kahoot quiz! Well done everyone 🙂
During our crew session this morning, we continued looking at road safety and the importance of crossing the road safely with an adult. We thought about the safest places to cross and the clothes we should be wearing when we are out and about in the community. We had some great discussions and role play ⚠️🛣️
We have been studying about David Hockney this week and have created our own Hockney style photography artwork. I have loved seeing the final pieces!
In maths today, Crew MW have been listening carefully to the amount of sounds that they heard and counting these into their five frames. They used the objects to represent the numbers and talked about how many squares were full and how many were empty. I’m really impressed with how hard all of the children worked and how smart they were getting with representing their numbers!
During our crew session this morning, we explored a variety of statements thinking about if they are true, false or both true and false. We worked well in mini crews to discuss our ideas. We then watched a clip that explored speed in more detail. We had some great discussions this morning 🙂
Maths week fun in MI! We had to delay one of the activities from last week and we managed to complete this today! We explored money then went to our classroom shop where we added amounts together. What a fantastic lessons we had! During our debrief we looked at how we would calculate change!
Yesterday, we spent some time trying to do some redrafting with our independent write. This is a skill we find quite tricky but we showed more perseverance then we have done previously. This is a skill we will continue to develop as we move through year 4 so we are ready for year 5.
