After a busy morning learning patterns and phonics in Crew Haigh today – we were very excited to finish the day with a visit to the bounty castle.
World Book Day Fun
Pupils enjoyed an interactive world book day in Crew Haigh, we shared book, sensory stories and especially enjoyed making sandwiches for our tea party
Goldilocks – Writing, Sharing, Exploring and more…
The pupils in Crew Haigh have enjoyed their latest story; Goldilocks And The Three Bears. Sensory story props, making porridge and edible bears (which we obviously loved!) all whilst developing those important motor skills that will help develop our writing – some superb communication and sharing too!
Enjoying the sunshine!
We have been enjoying the sunshine (when it appears!) in EYFS recently.
Sharing our story – EYFS bin stickers
On Friday, Crew MW went on a little walk around school distributing our final product bin stickers. The stickers will be stuck on the bins throughout school and as the children move through school they will always be able to see their work from this expedition. Whilst we walked round, we also spotted another final product displayed on the wall near the dinner hall – we loved the illustrations of the bees!
Inflatable Day!
What a way to start our week – playing on the inflatable in the glorious sunshine!
Becky Green – an inspiration!
What a fantastic way to kick start our sport week with a GB Freestyler Kayaker! Becky Green inspired children this morning with her passion for kayaking, at such a young age she has achieved so much! Our children practised some key skills and exercises to get their bodies moving.
Dare you venture into the Jungle?
Today, we were very lucky to take part in a wonderful experience brought to us by M&M productions, The Jungle Book. Many of us knew the story of Mowgli and it was fantastic to see the story brought to life!
Friday Fun in the Sun
On Friday afternoon, Maddie, Reuben and Mimi practiced their addition to 20 skills on their whiteboards. Then, we were treat to a sensory story with Crew Haigh. We enjoyed having an ice cream treat like the children in the book- “Lucy and Tom at the Seaside” then doing some painting mark making in the sunshine.
Its all about the shape…
Crew Haigh have started to explore and sort items during maths sessions – including colour and shape; some fabulous work seen already. Well done Crew
Making pancakes!
Pupils had a lovely session yesterday sorting through ingredients to mix their own pancakes…working on communication, interaction and motor skills.
Writing practice
Pupils enjoyed their first day back in class today – lots of activities and learning tasks, including some super engagement in writing.
