A Visitor in Crew Nursery!

A very special visitor has joined our crew! The children have decided to call him Stripes and he is our Kindness Elf.

Stripes will be staying with us throughout December and looking out for the children’s acts of kindness, he will keep note of these in his special book and we will share them during crew time.

Today, Stripes noticed Kai and Ralphie working really hard together to sweep up the sand, Jackson was very kind and helped Leon to zip up his coat and Layla shared the ball with Daliyah.

Well done for being kind!

Friday Fun!

This morning in Crew Nursery we have worked really hard to make some more fantastic firework art!
The children explored using carrots with paint and glitter to make different marks on their paper, we talked about colour mixing and counted how many fireworks we had made.

Creative Crew!

Crew nursery have really impressed their teachers with their creativity this week! They have enjoyed talking about the beautiful fireworks that they saw during bonfire night celebrations and they have created fantastic firework art using a lot of different media!

Maths in P.E

Today in Crew Nursery we had P.E with Coach Luke.
The children worked hard to count how many times they could throw and catch the ball and watched carefully to see how many times Miss Chapman could throw and catch the ball, counting from 1-10.

Our P.E Superstar today was Macey-Rose, she listened carefully to Coach’s instructions and did some brilliant counting. Well Done Macey-Rose!

Pumpkin pictures!

Crew nursery have been using chalk today to create pumpkin pictures! They have concentrated really well and are proud of their perfect pumpkin pictures 🎃 Drawing and writing with chalk is so much fun!

A spooktacular week in nursery!

This week in crew nursery, we are learning about Halloween – an event that some families choose to celebrate together! To start our spooktacular week, we have been dressing up as witches and wizards and making spooky meals in the home corner! We have drawn pumpkins using chalk and have made pumpkins using the play dough. To strengthen our motor skills, we have carefully hammered golf tees into a pumpkin – we needed to be really careful and concentrate when doing this!

Bananas for Baking!

This week in Crew Nursery we have been talking about healthy and unhealthy foods, we started the week baking some tasty treats – chocolate crispy cakes and buns with icing and sprinkles!

Today we talked about some healthy ingredients we could use to bake, the children chose to use banana and raisins, so we made banana, raisin bread!

The children worked hard to measure, mix and mash the ingredients and were so excited to see the finished result. I hope it tasted as yummy as it looked!
