Scotties

We were put through our paces in our Scotties session – not just testing our physical ability but also our ability to work in partners to communicate and accomplish goals together. Great effort Crew Mcloughlin and I am sure we will improve next session!

Farming Crew Challenges

Today in PE we continued to develop our listening skills and working together as a crew to achieve our end goal. Our first challenge was ‘Sheep huddle’. We worked in pairs, the sheep was blindfolded whilst the farmer gave the instructions using positional language to herd the sheep into their pen. We had to think very carefully about our one step and two step instructions. We then finished off with our favourite challenge, Spiders Web. Great work again today, Crew Godley!

What do we do when we face a challenge?

Today in PE we developed our teamwork skills, collaborating and communicating. This was key for the tricky challenges we had to complete as a crew. Our first challenge was to ‘cross the river’. The objective was to move across the river, however, we were only allowed to stand inside the hoops without touching the rest of the space on the floor. We could only move the hoops with our hands. It took a lot of communication and resilience!

Our second challenge, the spiders web! This involved a lot of planning and problem solving skills. We could only pass through each segment once, we had to explore how each crew mate could pass through each section without touching the web. I was so proud of the teamwork and resilience we displayed to achieve our goals.

KS1 Sports Day 2024 – Yellow Group

Although the sun wasn’t shining, yellow team oozed with warmth! Myself and Miss Burge were so proud of our team! From the youngest members who had not completed a sports day of this length to the oldest members who supported and encouraged them! We really did showcase the meaning of Crew!
