We would like to wish a Merry Christmas to LKS2 and a Happy New Year! Stay safe and have an amazing couple of weeks off. See you all in 2022! 😆

LKS2 Christmas Dinner (15.12.21) 🎄🎄
LKS2 have really enjoyed their first Christmas meal of the festive period. We’ve been enjoying spending time together and having lots of fun!
Year 3 Film Night (14.12.21) 🎅🎄
What a great and relaxing film night we have had in Year 3, where we ate our hot dogs and watched Home Alone. We’re definitely feeling ready for Christmas now! Not long to go guys and we get to eat our Christmas Dinner tomorrow! 🎄🎄
Inference Detectives! (8.12.21)👮♀️👮♂️
Year 3 practiced their inference skills today, in mini-Crews. But first, we had to practice our fluency of reading with echo reading – job well done, guys! We then moved onto being inference detectives as we became confident with reading between the lines of a book and explaining our reasons. What a great lesson Year 3! 😆
Experience Day! (7.12.21) 🚓
LKS2 played a game of Hide and Seek, in order to experience the dangers of being found in public, during Curfew time. The adults played the role of the Wujing, the secret police in the book we are reading – Running on the Roof of the World. The children experienced different feelings, including exciting and worried about being caught. Check out the images below:
Today, Year 3 and 4 enjoyed discussing and listening to tips about being safe, when near roads. They discussed better visibility and even tested out the most effective lighting when it is dark out. Thanks for all of the advice!
It is non-uniform for Crew Gerrard only (Year 3) after winning the treat on our Howl-opoloy spin last week! 🙂
Today, LKS2 have used coordinates on maps to plot the journey of Afghan refugees and how they can travel. Their journey can take them through several countries, such as Iran, Italy and France, before they eventually reach us. Well done guys!
Today, LKS2 took part in an experience day, which was based on our book Running of the Roof of the World. In the book, it discusses how Curfew’s are in place for local residents. We had to return to our chairs in time, as the Curfew took place. If we did not, we would be taken away by the Wujing (Secret Police). The children discussed how this was unfair and feel ready to complete the next Plot Point of their writing. We can’t wait to read them! 🚓
