Highlight of the day:
We have finally finished our independent write and we’ve had lots of proud moments reading out our stories. We have also enjoyed doing our COJO challenge with Mrs Thorpe at lunch time. We had to build up our crew skills to communicate effectively with each other. We’re also really excited for party day tomorrow!

We’ve been working closely with the team at Flaxby who are part of the Morrisons family to get some amazing treats for our children.
The site at Flaxby site, packs over 65.5 million packs of carrots and onions every week! Wow! So if you get your carrots and onions from Morrisons supermarket they will be from this factory! Its amazing that they are supporting our school as we’re not local to them. We can’t thank them enough for there amazing donation and I know the children have really appreciated the goodies.
Thank the team over at Flaxby we’re looking forward to continuing our partnership in the new year.

Tricky Tuesday! Today has been a little bit tricky without Miss Hart today but thank you to all of those crew members who have been my little assistants and very helpful all day! 🤗 You know who you are! 😊
Star moment of the day: ⭐
This has got to be our final PE session today! The children all had lots of fun dancing around and participating in lots of different Christmas activities. What really made it impressive for me was how mature and accepting some children were when they were ‘out’ of the game. Big praise also to Esme who showed great empathy to Sienna who had a little accident! 🙊 The kindness that Esme demonstrated was unbelievable. Well done Esme! 💕

This is a slight drop from yesterday but I believe that this is down to a few crew members letting the rest of the crew down throughout today. Hopefully we can work as a crew and improve this tomorrow! 🤞

Today’s HoWL Hero was praised by lots of crew members today but she equally stood out to me! I chose Kacey-Leigh for working hard all day. Kacey-Leigh has been doing lots of extra work recently to help her to get smart quicker and she hasn’t moaned at all. She has just got straight on with it and shown great resilience! Well done Kacey-Leigh! 👍👏⭐📝✏😁🙌🤩
My star moment today was seeing the children work really hard to make sure we make our deadline of finishing our stain glass windows in DT. Watch this space for lots of pictures coming. 👍😁

Harlie is always incredibly helpful in the classroom, she is always kind to everyone in her crew. Today especially, Harlie has gone above and beyond and has tidied my classroom to perfection today. Thanks Harlie!
What a lovely start to the week, we began by perfecting our dance 💃 with Coach Shelly. It was very fun and festive 🎄
We then worked hard in order to get smart to create a backdrop for our expedition display work. We carefully mixed paint 🎨 to create different shades of blue and blended this beautifully 😊
After lunch we heard some 🔔 ringing in the corridor 🎅🏼 Santa parked his sleigh 🛷 on the roof and delivered some special treats for us 🍭

Crew Mcloughlin have produced some beautiful work today towards their Christmas cards and we have had a lovely Christmassy afternoon. You have also shown me just how kind you all are and look out for each other 😁

It has been an extremely busy day in Crew Shields. We have finished off our Maths unit for this half term and spent the rest of the day completing our DT learning. The children have done a fabulous of their product and I’m sure you’ll be impressed when you see them. It’s been lovely to watch the children supporting each other through their learning.

Our Be Kind Howl hero today is Kaleb!
Kaleb has been a massive help to his peers during our DT learning. He helped some students finish their learning and put a lot of effort into his product.
We have had another busy day in nursery doing some lovely festive activities 🎅❄ We continued painting our Santa pictures, the children are very excited to take them home for their grown ups 🙊 We did a Christmas themed playdough disco which then generated so much interest in our playdough area where the children then made playdough snowmen ⛄
