Over the last two days we have been looking at habitats – the 4 different habitats we have looked at are coastal, woodlands, urban, pond. We got given an animal and we had to stick them to the correct habitat.

Yesterday we were lucky enough to have Doncaster council come in and give a presentation ahead of our visit to the recycling centre. The talk was very informative before children were given the opportunity to decide which bin certain pieces of rubbish would go in. I certainly learnt a thing or 2 as I’ve been putting some items in the wrong bin.
Today in crew Marsh we made some bunny’s out of paper plates and cotton balls.
Today we built on yesterdays learning in our geography lesson, we compared three places in the UK – we looked at Beeley (village), Skegness (town) and London (city). We compared the different human and physical features of each.
We found out that if you live in a city or town you have more human features.
Crew Hamill have been set a brand new reading challenge!! Each member of our crew has their own polar bear that they need to try and save from sinking on the disappearing iceberg 🧊 Every time they read at home, their polar bear takes one footstep closer to the safety of shore! The first person to the safe iceberg wins a prize! And every polar bear that doesn’t suffer the dreadful fate of many polar bears by making it onto a paw print will also be rewarded! 🐻❄️🧊🎁 Who will be first to the top?! 👀
We have loved spending time today making our own bracelets, it was fiddly but we all preserved and created a bracelet to wear!
After weeks of hard work and practice today KS1 performed ‘A Wriggly Nativity’ to a packed out audience and what a show they put on! The dancing, singing, acting and narrating were all outstanding. You should be very proud of yourselves! Merry Christmas Everyone!
This afternoon Acro lunchtime club held an assembly to show us everything they had learnt over the last 6 weeks. We were all impressed with how many skills they had learnt and how well they all performed. Well done acro club! We cannot wait to see how much more you learn next half term!
In crew marsh we have finished picasso artwork, we have loved choosing different shapes and creating our snowmen in cubism form. We hope you love them as much as we do!
Today in Y1 we started our christmas writing by reading the christmas jollypostman. He firstly delivered a christmas card to baby bear at the three bears house, we therefore decorated our own card for baby bear and then delivered it to their house. We noticed Mummy bear decorating a christmas tree and enjoyed some warm, delicious porridge.
