The children played a game of hide and seek, whereby the children pretended to be Vlad the flea and hid in the hospital to make sure the adults (Florence Nightingale and the nurses) could not find them and kick them out of the new nice clean hospital. We then acted out looking after the poorly soldiers and gave them the medical care that they needed.
This term we have been writing about and reading Little Red Riding Hood. For our experience morning, in Crew Pashley, we made a witches potion β¨ for the Bad WolfπΊ from Little Red Riding Hood. We discussed other ways to get rid of the wolf, like scaring him. The potion is used to get rid of the wolf when he eats grandma by turning him into a frog. We included lots of different things in our potions, including beads, pasta, rice and pom poms. We practised measuring out the potion into containers using a fake syringe, cups and the spoons.
In todayβs experience lesson we visited a hospital β it was really dirty with blood, sick and dirt. It wasnβt very nice or friendly. We decided we would not want to be looked after there.
As part of multicultural week we made our very own German biscuits β they were yummy! We had to follow a recipe carefully.
