Thank you to all of the lovely grown ups who came to Crew MW’s stay and engage this morning! We had such a lovely time outside in the forest are making our sun catchers with you ☀️
This week, we’ve had a visitor in our classroom! The Gruffalo wrote us a letter to go and explore the woods and to see what we could find from his checklist. We found leaves, dandelion clocks, rough bark, daisies, a bumble bee and some birds!
Today the children in KS2 AP loved making spiders in xp outdoors.
Year 5 and 6 had a great trip to Langsett Reservoir to begin to establish a strong crew where the children can be themselves and develop their teamwork skills in a caring and safe environment. We worked together to answer our crew guiding question was ‘How can we get everyone to the top of the mountain?‘ The answer was simple… work together, support one another, enjoy exploring, share the load and plenty of chocolate biscuits. We had a fantastic day (even the sun came out) and it was a pleasure to see the children enjoying themselves and truly becoming a crew that we know that will go from strength to strength as the year progresses… watch this space. Well done everyone!
Today in xp outdoors the children made spiders from toilet tubes. They used scissors to make the legs, painted it black and then gave it some eyes.
Year 6 enjoyed working part of a team trying to get the most points playing treasure hunt.
Mrs Gilliland enjoyed playing rock, paper, scissors with the year 6 today 😁
