Y5/6 Dodgeball tournament
On Wednesday we went to a dodgeball tournament, we came 5/9!
Scotties🏃♀️
What a fantastic Scotties session we had on Wednesday! We had to work as a team to take down the opponents base. We had to use our listening skills to wait for the different commands that Charlie gave. 👂🏻👭👬
Scotty’s
This week in Scotty’s the children were working as a crew to follow orders. Children were able to take it in turns and then timed themselves to see if they could beat their time. They managed to shave 3 seconds off their time.
Wiggle Dance
In Nursery, we are loving getting our body moving when doing the wiggle dance by DannyGo. We are practicing good listening and copying to make sure we are doing the moves properly!

Ball skills 🎾
In todays PE lesson, we concentrated on developing our tracking and catching skills. We needed to keep our eyes focused on the ball, apply a ready position and move our feet to the ball. First, we warmed up by playing ‘head, shoulder, need and toes” while avoiding the cones and catching the ball. Children then placed their beanbag on top of a cone. They jogged around, avoiding the cones. When I called ‘head’ pupils move to any cone and practise throwing the beanbag up, touching their head and catching the beanbag. We then played “baller” and “switch” for our skills development.
Scottys – follow the instructions 👂🏻
This morning in our Scottys session, we had to use our listening skills and our communications skills to navigate our way around the obstacle course. We had to make sure we were giving clear instructions so that the listener knew exactly what to do. However, we also had to make sure we were listening carefully so we were doing to correct thing. Teamwork was essential in todays Scottys session in order to be successful.
We love our PE lessons in MI
A great warm up and practise of skills before applying to a game situation. We are really loving our dodgeball lessons 🙂
