We found something very exciting in our classroom after we had been enjoying the sunshine outside! Giant footprints were found leading to a new book… the story of The Gruffalo! Not only did we find footprints, but we also found lots of purple prickles that had been dropped by our mystery visitor. We used our Think-Pair-Share protocol to talk to our talk partners about who we thought had made the footprints and why there might have been purple prickles left on the floor. After a short discussion, we thought it might be the Gruffalo himself who left the book! Once we read the story, we came to the conclusion that it WAS the Gruffalo because he has purple prickles all down his back and large feet! We are excited to do lots of fun activities linked to the Gruffalo during hook week!
It’s been a fun-filled first week back in Crew MW. We have been extremely busy exploring our new learning environment, working together in provision and catching up after our summer holidays. We have particularly enjoyed playing in the home corner, listening to stories on the Yoto player, and getting our groove on in the music area!
