Today we got to go to knight school! We were so excited to practice horse riding, sword fighting and eating like knights! I wonder which school we preferred…Knight school or Princess school?

Crew Marsh: 20/01/21

My star moment today was seeing the children being resilient in arithmetic this morning, it was great to see how hard they tried in their division questions. Division is not easy and they preserved with it! Very proud well done. 👍🙌😁

Average is: 3!👌

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.1

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Crew Marsh need to continue to be more mindful of putting their hand up rather than getting out of their seat, and making sure that we are listening and following instructions the first time.

Today’s howl hero is:

Get Smart hero today is TommyB! 🙌😁😁😁

Tommy has made me feel really proud today, I have seen a massive attitude change regarding his learning, he is doing amazing in writing every single day and making sure he is hitting both gold and green standard.

Wet Wednesday! 🌨

It has been a very wet day today but we have still had lots of fun in the classroom!

Star moment of the day:

This has got to be our Expedition lesson this afternoon. I was really blown away with the amount of facts that the children knew about the Colosseum! The pictures that the children drew were also amazing! 👍🙌👏⭐ Watch this space for some snaps! 📸

Todays HoWL average is: 3.1

This is a great score today especially as we have had some absences today! 🙌🤩⭐👍👏

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this tomorrow?

All crew members need to ensure that they are following the HoWLs at all times, and that those at home at continuing to submit any work that they have completed! 👍

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today’s HoWL Hero was Ryleigh! Ryleigh was chosen by both her crew members and staff for ‘working hard’ all day today! I was particularly impressed with the amount of ideas that she contributed during ‘popcorn’ in The Write Stuff this morning! This really helped with our ‘chotting’ and meant that all crew members had lots of ideas for their own writing! Ryleigh also worked really hard this afternoon to draw a picture of the Colosseum and to write some key facts about this famous building in Rome! Amazing work today Ryleigh! Well done! 👏⭐🤩🙌😁🕺

Crew Gerrard (20/01/21)

Hi everyone,

We’ve had a busy day and are all working really hard to make sure that we were producing our best work today. I have seen some great posters that have been made about key people making a stand for what they believe in. It’s been tricky to choose our HoWL heroes:

Work Hard: Zane for getting to grips with the difficult multiplication and helping others with it.

Get Smart: Emily for challenging herself to do trick multiplications.

Be Kind: Jolie for trying to cheer her peers up and making us smile.

Our HoWL average for today was 3.0!

You’re doing a great job guys! 😀

Today, we could’ve given anyone HOWL hero… but the lucky 3 were:

Work hard: Grace – for fantastic work on her expedition poster.

Get smart: Crystal – for amazing research on Malala.

Be kind: Mckenzie – for supporting and being helpful online.

🤩 We are super proud to say that our HOWL average today is 3.3! We’ve worked super hard to achieve this and we’re really now thinking about what each HOWL really means.

Crew Fox 20.1.21

Today in crew we have been creating fact files about Malala Yousafzai.

Todays HOWL average was 2.5.

Todays HOWL heroes were

We couldn’t separate some of the girls in crew today so it only seemed fair that they were recognised equally.

Work hard – Alissa and Lucy

Get smart – Freya R and Alexa

Be kind – Ashleigh

Thank you for a lovely day Crew Fox, from Miss Thiede 🙂

Crew Nicholson 19.1.21

What a busy couple of days it has been in nursery! 😴We have welcomed 6 new children into our crew and the children have really made me proud how they have taken them under their wing and ensured they feel welcome and part of our crew. Starting school can be a daunting experience and even though our existing class members only started in September, they are doing an excellent job of looking after the new children. Although it is busy and slightly overwhelming at the start, the children are beginning to settle and make new friends 👫👭

We have been doing some colour mixing today and learnt how to make the colour green. We put a blob of blue paint on one hand and a blob of yellow paint on the other hand and rubbed our hands together to see it had turned green! Amazing!

Some children did some excellent maths work with Mr Jones and we are getting really smart at identifying numbers to 5. Well done 🌟

Terrific Tuesday!

Highlight of our day today was our ‘space mile’. We have decided in order to help the alien return to his home planet, the moon, we’d like to walk there after the success of walking to the North Pole. So we have set ourselves a space adventure! Walking like aliens we completed 40 miles today – 20 children, 2 miles each 😊 Our little legs were worn out. This lead into an exploration of how many miles we would need to walk to reach the moon. We used the internet to research and find the answer. A staggering 238,855 miles!!!!! We’ll wear our moon boots out!

Today’s HoWL heroes

Working Hard – Taylor. Taylor used his phonic skills today to write captions for his drawings.

Working Hard – Ates. Ates worked hard today in reading and read some very tricky words! Well done Ates!

Crews Longley and Shields

Another busy day for the two crews. Today we have been exploring vocabulary and the meaning of words, understanding bar charts and learning about Roman viaducts and the Colosseum.

Longley Crew Average:  3.7

Shields Crew Average : 3.2

Targets for this week : 3.3

How can we improve?

To improve our score we need to be more proactive and ensure our work is completed each day. We also need to try and be more independent with our learning.
