We have made some changes to our start times to allow them to be closer to our normal start times to support our critical worker parents whilst allowing a staggered start to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

We have also shortened the staggered finish by 15 minutes. Parents can now collect form 2.45 from Monday. Again this worked really well but Teachers shared that it does seem like a long time. We are hoping that 30 minutes allows us to safely transition pupils out at the end of the day. Times have changed  for Monday to Thursday and for a Friday. On a Friday, we ask that all children are collected by 1.15 to allow Teachers the time to have their planning time.

We will monitor this next week and check if it works effectively. Thank you for your continued support. 🙏🏻

Online registration timings may have changed slightly too. Please see timings below.

FAO Crew McLoughlin

We have good news! We can open up for Crew McLoughlin as normal on Monday.

We have looked again at our staffing for next week and we are able to open for Crew Mcloughlin; Miss McLoughlin will greet the children as normal.

See you all on Monday and thank you for bearing with us whilst we got sorted with staffing for this coming week (it was much quicker than we expected).

Happy FriYAY! 😁🙌

I think that we are all relieved that it is finally Friday and we can have a few days rest after a very busy, tiring and what has felt like a very looonngg week! 😅💤

Star moment of the day:

This has got to be our Reading lesson this morning. 📚 I was really blown away with how well the children know the different lenses and can answer a range of questions in connection with these. It was also nice to listen to every child read this morning and I was impressed that every child openly volunteered to read aloud in front of the rest of the crew! 📖

Todays HoWL average is: 2.8

Not the best score this week but still a good score despite the number of absences that we have had in our crew today.

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this next week?

All crew members need to try and attend school every day next week to ensure that our Crew HoWL score is the best that it can be. Children also need to remember to be kind to everyone and maintain a positive attitude at all times, as difficult as that may be!

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today’s HoWL Hero was Harry! Harry was praised by lots of his crew members and crew leaders for just getting on with his work. From the moment Harry arrived at school his head was down and he was focused on completing his work. Harry got almost full marks in his arithmetic, full marks in the 99 Club and even got all of his reading answers correct. A fabulous day and it just shows the rest of the crew that working hard really does result in helping you to get smart! Excellent work Harry! Well done! 👏⭐🤩🙌😁

Crew Gerrard (22.1.21)

Fantastic Friday! Crew Gerrard, both in class and online, have been working hard on their learning. I have been really proud to hear how well the children in class are settling into these unusual circumstances. You are adapting well and doing a great job. For those online, I cannot praise your perseverance enough, you are working really hard to overcome technical issues in order to complete your learning. You have made it really tricky to decide on our HoWL heroes, but they are:

Work hard: Kian for producing some detailed answers in reading 😁

Get smart: Zane for trying his best to understand the class text 😄

Be kind: Belle who always has a fantastic attitude. You make us all laugh 😀

Our HoWL average was 3.1!

Well done on getting through a tricky week. Have a great weekend!

😆

Crew Marsh: 22/01/21

My star moment today was seeing how far the children have come in their reading lessons, they have made sure they answer every question by reading the question carefully. Our next target is to make sure we always read the text and find our answers from there. 😁📖📚

Average is: 3.2!👌🙌

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.1

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Crew Marsh need to continue to be more mindful of putting their hand up rather than getting out of their seat, and making sure that we are listening and following instructions the first time, we are improving on this every week and is getting better!

Today’s howl hero is:

Get Smart hero today is Aaliyah! 🙌

Aaliyah, has worked really hard all week! She has made sure all her work is looking neat and that she is giving 100% in her learning in all lessons! Well done Aaliyah! 😁✔
