Daily Blog Crew Godley 06.01.2020

Happy New Year to all of our families, I am completely overwhelmed today with how the children have settled into our ‘new normal’ again. Crew Godley have been amazing ☺️

Thank you to all our parents for supporting to ensure children were prepared for school and those parents at home for their patience. We are missing the home learners being in school and are counting down the days till everyone is back ❤️

The children were so excited this morning when they entered the classroom into our ‘space’ themed learning environment 🌙 🌝 🌏 🌟 💫  The children certainly worked hard to get smart and I would like to praise Summer for her extensive knowledge of the Solar System, I was blown away by her knowledge of the planets!

Stay safe everyone and again, thank you for a great first day ☺️

Crew Welburn’s Daily Blog Post 6.1.2021

First day back ✅

We’ve had a great first day back. It was great to see some of the children back in the classroom and lovely to see their smiling faces 😁 They were all so excited to learn about their new expedition – What mysteries to castles keep? And they were amazed by some of the castles we looked at! We wanted to say a big thank you to the parents supporting their children with online learning as well. We know at times it was difficult, but thank you for persevering and for supporting your children 🙏

HOWL Heroes:

Work hard: Harrylee 👏

Get smart: Harry and Scarlett 👏

Be kind: Bronwyn and Scarlett 👏

🌟 HOWL Score: 3.1. Well done Crew Welburn, this is a great score for the first day back! 🌟

Crew Fox blog 6.1.21

I am overwhelmed with the day we’ve had today. Crew Fox have been amazing – online and in school! We’ve had only a few problems but we’ve been resilient and continued to work hard in order to get smart. Thank you to all our parents for supporting to ensure children were online on time and ready to learn – they really have been amazing. We are missing the home learners being in school and are counting down the days!

Stay safe everyone and again, thank you for a great first day!!

Crew Gerrard (06/01/21)

Hi everyone,

What a first day we have had in Crew Gerrard, from all of our various learning stations. First of all, I would like to say how proud I am of you guys for the effort and help you have given Mrs Gilliland and myself, in less than ideal circumstances. You guys really are Crew! It has been really difficult to choose our HoWL heroes for today, but myself and Mrs Gilliland have decided that they are:

Work Hard: Everyone 🦸‍♂️

Get Smart: Everyone (and the special pet visitors we saw)🦸‍♂️

Be Kind: Everyone 🦸‍♂️

Our HoWL average for today was 3.3 and I couldn’t be any happier with effort today.

Keep it up, as we need to stick together as a Crew (socially distanced of course!)

🐶

Praise for our community 🌟

Final post for tonight. I’d just like to praise the following before we finish for today…

🌟I want to praise the amazing work of the CPS staff team today. They have worked so hard to identify pupils that are eligible for a place in school and have worked with parents to ensure that this is communicated quickly.
🌟I want to praise support staff for embracing the world of technology we now live in and getting devices ready for children to loan for the next 6 weeks.
🌟Staff have embraced the challenge of another last minute change and although some have some anxieties regarding their own health during this time, have ensured that that they put these aside and put the children at the forefront of all they do 🙌
🌟Finally I want to praise you at home for your patience in bearing with us today whilst we got our provision turned around after the late announcement last night. Also for persevering with some of the technical glitches this morning… we know it can be frustrating but really do appreciate your patience

Feeling proud 🤩

Thank you all 🙏🏻

Lockdown 2- Learning Provision January 2021

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please find attached a letter which outlines the details for our learning offer over the next 6 weeks (until half term).

This letter provides details for parents whose children are attending in-school provision and those accessing remote learning provision.

All children will continue to access the same lessons, whether they are in school or are at home. The vast majority of children will be with their current crew leader too. Unlike lockdown 1, the Government have made it very clear that all children at home should be accessing learning and we want to ensure that we fulfil this commitment to the best of our ability. Therefore, we will be offering ‘live’ lessons for pupils at home, so there is less pressure placed on parents/carers in comparison to lockdown 1.

Live learning will commence for pupils in Year 1- 6 from tomorrow, or whenever you manage to get your device. Foundation Stage will hopefully start this next week, we will be in touch regarding devices.

We still have some devices waiting for pupils to collect here at school. Please can you come and collect in the morning from around 8am. Just ring the school office when you are here and we will bring the pack out.

Please let us know if you have any questions or queries after reading the letter, we are here to help.

I am sure that we will have some hurdles to overcome, but like last time, I am sure we will come together in an amazing way and once again get through this strange and rather difficult time.

Regards,

Miss Laing
