Monday
Today has whizzed by! First, we crewed up and checked in with ‘What is the most recent kind thing you have done?’ It just showed how many kind people we have in our crew. Then, we did Maths, which was a bit tricky because we were comparing fractions. After, we had break, which was very fun! We had Expedition and before I knew it, it was Lunch. There was a vegan roll with potato croquets, and I had it and really enjoyed it. We did Arithmetic, and it zoomed by like usual. Then we continued Expedition. We got a lot of our CS2 reflection completed! We read on MYON for 15 minutes, we checked out and we went home.
Tuesday
Today we started our day with our check in, ‘what is your favourite flavour of cake?’ Everyone had such delicious favourites! Then, we started magic maths. In magic maths, we consolidated BIDMAS, then we continued our maths from Monday ensuring we got onto practising our reasoning and problem solving skills. After magic maths, we started our written comprehension. It was very interesting in reading, because we learnt about the first woman in space. When we finished our reading, it was finally break! After break, we focused on finishing Case Study 2 all the way up to dinner. Here are some examples of working hard!
Some people worked extra hard and finished before dinner, so they coached others. It was extra special today because…It was Miss Mcloughlin’s birthday! So we all began to sing happy birthday and spoilt her with lots of kind messages, cards and presents.
Wednesday
Today, we went to guitars and we sang some songs; sweet Caroline and the world’s smallest violin. We all had so much fun! We also leant a D cord, A cord and an E cord. Shoutout to Connor for getting praised. Well done! And then, we had scotty’s heroes and leaned how to survive in the ocean and what to bring (We said to bring a mirror, water, food such as army rations and so much more). Our super star for scotty’s heroes was… Gabriels! After, we did maths. During maths, we took part in a kahoot (a quiz like program and the winner was Gabriels). Also, we learnt about x by 10,100 and 1,000 to get more confident doing them.
After lunch, we did a practice for our final product (our Expo) for parents to come on 1st December. We started by picking which role we are having and ran through it a couple of times.
Thursday
Today, we came into class and crewed up and we did (what was your favourite lesson in yr6). It was mostly expedition. Then we moved on to our maths which we then recapped fractions. Later on we did our touchdowns and blast Offs as well as we finishing our case study 2 reflections. After that we tidied our tables and got our stuff ready for break time then 15 minutes later we came in and got on with finishing our touchdowns. In the afternoon, we went into the hall and acted out something special for next week.
