I’m sure you’ve all played dodgeball before, but have you ever played it IN THE DARK?! Today, Crew Hamill and Crew Thompson were super lucky to be able to play glow in the dark dodgeball. We had so much fun!

This year we are launching a sports week, with lots of different sporting activities across the week.
Monday – We will have a GB/Olympic athlete visiting school and putting the children through their paces.
Tuesday – Nursery Sports day
Thursday – KS2 Sports day in the morning/ KS1 Sports day in the afternoon
Friday – Fun colour run in the late afternoon
Due to loving our athlete visit last year and the year before ….
I am excited to announce that we have an athlete visiting school Monday 1st July 2024.
Children should come home with a sponsor form tomorrow (Friday 17th May), sponsor forms are due in Wednesday 19th June 2024.
Sponsor forms should be handed in to class teachers or the office.
This is a great opportunity for the children to meet a GB/ olympic athlete and raise money for school at the same time, as soon as we know who the school athlete is I will share the news.
In excitement of this, we are going to do a dress down in your sporty gear on Friday 24th May with a voluntary contribution of £1.
We are delighted to have camps in May running Tuesday 28th May – Friday 31st May. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/carcroft-fusion-camp-may-2024-tickets-886076828647
I loved finishing the term with our acro and cheerleading showcase. It was amazing seeing the children show off their routines they have been practising. I know some of the children were nervous but I left feeling so proud of them all and it was lovely to see how proud they were too!
How exciting and what an amazing opportunity for some of our children to experience! The final dance when all the schools came together was amazing and it really is a memory which will stay with our children I’m sure! They all took part in the activities and thoroughly enjoyed each one, boccia being a new one to try and they took to it like pro’s. Great sportsmanship from KS1 today well done 👏
What an AMAZING day we have had today at Active Fusions festival of sport. We have participated in a range of activities such as rugby, seated volleyball, team building, ballet and taekwondo! We even got to run a lap on the track! 🏃♀️💨We had so much fun and can’t wait for the next one! 😃😃
Carcroft girls enjoyed the afternoon out playing football on XPs 4G pitch. We played 3 matches and overall Carcroft girls Y5/6 team won first place! What an achievement! The Y3/4 team stood out for their defending skills and sportsmanship. It was amazing to see! We cannot wait for the next tournament!
We have had such a fun day at the active fusion festival of sport: we have learnt a dance with the royal opera ballet, played boccia, played with a kin ball and done some team building skills! It’s been a busy day!
We are so proud of our Y3/4 dodgeball team for getting a medal for best sportsmanship! 🥰
