Crew Hamill worked really hard to complete their art project last week. Over our first 3 days we carefully designed a print that was inspired by “What makes me, me.” We created a draft of our design which was something that represented us – our house, our pets, our hobbies. We then transferred our designs onto cardboard and carefully added string, meticulously following the lines we had drawn. Finally, we painted our string using two different colours and printed this onto card. We’re really proud of our results.
Crew Hamill – First Week Back!
Last week, we had the best first as Crew Hamill. We worked towards answering our guided question: What does crew mean to me? We worked hard on developing our communication skills and our ability to work together as a team. We took part in lots of activities such as jigsaw puzzles, lego building and baking.
We got to explore our outdoor environment and discover the different leaves we have in our forest area. We used these to create some crew bunting using our fabulous wax creations! Who do you think won the competition to find the biggest leaf?!
Fieldwork – Murton Park
Good morning
Tomorrow will be an exciting day as we will be heading to Murton Park for our Roman day.
If your child is entitled to free school meals they will have a pack lunch provided, however, I feel they will need to bring an additional drink as it’s expected to be another very warm day.
Children who don’t receive free school meals will need to bring a packed lunch along with a drink.
Some of the activities tomorrow will take place outside so please can you put suncream on your child and send them with a hat. Please ensure children are in their school uniform.
We will be leaving the venue at approx 3pm so we expect to be back at school for approximately 4.15pm. The office will send a message if we get caught in traffic.
Thank you
LKS2 Crew.
