Fieldwork to Murton Park

KS2 have had an amazing day at Murton Park immersing themselves into life as Romans. We have made oil lamps, learnt Latin, joined the Roman Army and fought the Celts.

The children conducted themselves so well and we are extremely proud of them all.

Hopefully everything we have learned today we can build on over the course of our expedition as we learn more about the Romans and why they decided to come to Doncaster.

What do our HoWLs look like in crew?

This week, in crew, we have have been busy exploring our HoWLs (Habits of Work and Learning). Together, we thought carefully about different scenarios and discussed whether they showed Working HardGetting Smart or Being Kind. It was fantastic to see the children reflecting on their choices, sharing ideas with one another, and recognising how our HoWLs help us to grow not just as learners, but as kind and responsible members of our Crew.
