Rainbow Ribbon Dance
During today’s activity, the children participated in a rainbow ribbon dance session.Each child received a ribbon and followed along with an instructional video to work on their hand-eye coordinationThe children loved waving their ribbons.
Arts and Crafts time
“Today in arts and crafts, the kids created unique fox collages using a mix of fun textures and materials!”
Ham and cheese sandwich
We first buttered the bread, then added our ham and cheese before placing another slice of bread on top. We then cut it in half and ate it.
Fine motor skills
As part of their morning task, they developed their fine motor skills by carefully threading pasta onto string. This activity helped to strengthen their hand-eye coordination, concentration, and control of small hand movements.
Hook Week In KS1!
This week we have been trying to guess what our autumn expedition will be! We have had experts with old toys visiting our school, a play afternoon to showcase our favourite toys and a fieldwork trip to Cusworth Hall Museum. Here we are getting hooked on expeditionary learning! We would like to say a special thank you to our visitors and experts for all of your generosity this week. Also, a massive thank you to our volunteer helpers Mrs T and Blue for coming on our trip and Eila’s mum for your toy workshop at Cusworth Hall! We are so grateful for your acts of kindness in bringing this Hook Week alive.
Gingerbread Man
In writing, the children have been learning all about The Gingerbread Man. Throughout the week, they have been busy making their own gingerbread men, creating a large gingerbread man and even making the fox!

KS1 Toy Afternoon
As part of our Hook Week activities we will be holding a Toy Afternoon on Wednesday 2nd September.
Children are allowed to bring one toy into school to play with during the afternoon.
Please ensure it is named and can be kept in a carrier bag on their peg until the afternoon.

Planting Bulbs In Crew Ramsay!
This morning we beat the weather to plant daffodil bulbs in our outdoor area. We learned about the life cycle of a daffodil before going outside and planting our very own bulbs. The children measured the distance between bulbs, dug holes, planted bulbs and placed their name sticks ready for our spring time dig. We cannot wait to see the green shoot in Spring after learning about the seasons and nature’s cycles. The children showed great stewardship of our shared space and tidied up after themselves. Well done Crew!
Tough Runners!
Today in Crew Ramsay, we worked our way fearlessly through the Tough Runner Course. We exercised our courage, compassion and Crew by overcoming obstacles, helping one another and cheering each other on! Here we are enjoying the last day of Crew week!
