Independent writing in MI
Today children finished their independent writing and we are blown away by what they have produced. They have worked so hard by having a positive attitude towards their learning and trying their best even when things were challenging. They used their planning sheets well to support their writing. Also they have worked on the get smart howl by ensuring they produced beautiful work they are proud of. We will now start editing and redrafting our work so it is even better! Keep it up MI 🙂

Fantastic First aiders in Crew Mcloughlin🚑
To help with our expedition learning ‘How can a healthy lifestyle impact our body and mind?‘ we have participated in mini first aid training today! 🤩 What an amazing skill to have! Â
We took part in some basic first aid training today. We practised skills such as putting an unresponsive casualty into the recovery position; how to assess a casualty using DR ABC; and even how to safely perform abdominal thrusts (or the Heimlich manoeuvre) to dislodge something blocking the airway.

As part of our expedition ‘How can a healthy lifestyle impact our body and mind?‘ we took part in some basic first aid training today. The bit that surprised us all though was how tiring (and hard) chest compressions were, especially when doing them for a minute!

Over the past week, we’ve been practicing our super scooting skills! After having Chris come to visit us and teach us some new tricks, we’ve really enjoyed being able to practice these skills at break and lunch times – look at those smiles 😁

Thank you to all of our families for joining our grand opening of our brand new outdoor area. The children absolutely LOVE it! We are looking forward to taking our learning outside and enjoying the lovely summer weather.
