KS1 Enjoys a Football-Themed Lunch!

Today, our KS1 children enjoyed a fantastic football-themed lunch as we celebrated England’s first game taking place tonight!

The dining hall was filled with excitement as pupils tucked into a special menu inspired by the beautiful game. Football anthems played throughout lunchtime, creating a fun and lively atmosphere, and many of the children couldn’t resist getting up for a dance with their friends. There was lots of singing, smiling and excitement as everyone got into the football spirit.

It was wonderful to see so many happy faces enjoying the occasion together. We hope everyone enjoys watching the match tonight and joins us in cheering on England.

Come on England!

Caterpillars

After half term, we had a very special delivery in the Hub – caterpillars came to stay with us! The children were excited to observe them and we spent time talking about how small they were when they first arrived. We discussed what might happen next and wondered how big they would grow.

To support our learning, we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and explored the life cycle of a butterfly, learning about each stage from caterpillar to chrysalis and finally to butterfly.

It has now been two weeks since the caterpillars arrived, and we have been fascinated by the changes taking place. They have recently started to form their chrysalises, which has been very exciting to observe. Keep a look out for our butterfly blog! 🦋
