Crew Hamill have worked their magic with maths over their last few lessons. We began by adding two two-digit numbers together but have now moved on to adding two three-digit numbers and have even begun exchanging across the 10s and 100s columns!

On Friday, we celebrated Libraries Week by taking a trip to our school library. We each picked out a book and we showed it to the other members of our crew. We then decided which book we wanted to read in the library, chilling on the bean bags and cushions, as well as choosing a book to take back to the classroom with us. We absolutely LOVE going to the library! 📚

Today we looked at coding. When one of them found it challenging their other crew members helped them out. This was lovely to see them working part of a crew. Well done guys

This week in PE we have been working on our fitness. There were four stations for the children to work in and they had a minute in each one. Lots of sweaty and exhausted children by the end of it.
This afternoon we took some time to go to the library to change our books but also to use our beautiful space to read. Nothing better then enjoying a snack while reading a good book.

During this weeks multicultural focus we have had a go at speaking Italian. We shared our feelings on Italian and then used a video to help us say foods. I have to say I was rather impressed with some of their pronunciation.

This week we have been learning about Italy with it being multicultural week. This also fits in with our expedition because it’s allowed us to explore the country in more detail and discover things such as their food and language.
We really enjoyed learning about the famous dances which believe it or not came about because of someone being bitten by a tarantula.

Children took part in a kahoot quiz to allow them an opportunity to showcase what they had learned during their case study. Lovely to see they have retained some of the facts etc about where the Romans came from

In Scotties we were working on our listening skills and our ability to work with a partner. It was essential that we listened to instructions so that we could keep each other safe. Lots of sore muscles the following day after all those squats.

Well done to the following children who consistently read at home. In some cases they are reading every single night. It would be lovely to see some more reading records next week. 📖
