This year, we hosted Prom at Owston Inn… and they absolutely loved it!

To thank the children for all their hard work this year, the Year 5 staff crew treated them to an afternoon of pizza and fun on the field. Mr Boswell and Mr Ibbotson very kindly brought in their pizza ovens, made the dough and prepared to make pizza to feed 50 children and of course the staff. I’m sure all the children would agree that they were delicious and much more enjoyable than a bar of chocolate.
The year 5 staff crew have been absolutely blown away by how hard the children have worked this year and all they have achieved. We know they will continue to achieve amazing things in year 6.
This morning Crew MI shared their final product from their expeditionary learning with parents. Thank you so much to all the parents that joined us, I know the children loved sharing the product with you along with all the work they had produced from the summer expedition. We are all super proud of what everyone has achieved this term. We also celebrated the children who have managed to get their work on display this term, some fantastic work produced.

On Thursday, we would love to present the learning from our Autumn, Spring and Summer expeditions. As children leave the family picnic, there will be a stand at the front of the school showcasing the finished products from the expeditions.
We would love for parents and guardians to join us, view and discuss the beautiful finished products. Children will also be able to purchase a copy of the new children’s perspective for £1.
We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow

Y2 were so lucky to have a visit from Greentop Circus 🎪🤹🏻♀️🎭🎟
We had great fun watching Chris perform his circus show then he taught us how to use a spinning top, walk a tight rope and laugh like a clown! we had a great morning!

Just a quick reminder about Crew Welburn’s end of year treat tomorrow. As the children have filled their marble jar with their HOWL scores, we will be having a water fight in the afternoon as a little treat. The children will need to come to school in their uniform as normal, but bring a change of clothes that you don’t mind them getting wet (including shoes!) and a towel.
Thank you 😃
It’s been a hot one across Doncaster today but Crew Shields have been keeping themselves cool with lollies and ensuring we keep hydrated. We’re all hoping it cools down significantly for our last 2 days in Year 5!
Don’t forget our end of Year Family Picnic on Thursday 21st July at 1pm.
GATES WILL OPEN AT 12.45PM TO ENSURE THERE ISN’T A SURGE OF PEOPLE QUEUING AT 1PM. CLASSROOM DOORS WILL SHUT AND GATES WILL BE LOCKED AT 1.15PM TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN. CHILDREN WILL BE SIGNED OUT OF CLASS OVER TO THEIR RESPONSIBLE ADULT BEFORE THEY ATTEND THE PICNIC.
Please bring a picnic and a blanket (no alcohol, vapes, smoking or dogs permitted on site). All children who usually have a dinner including the children who normally have packed lunches and have paid for a dinner will be provided with the lunch that they have ordered to bring out to the picnic. All other children should bring their packed lunch as usual.
The Y6 leavers parade will take place at 2.30pm. If you wish to leave and come back for this you are more than welcome to do so.
We hope to see you all there!
