On Thursday, we celebrated the children in Crew Pashley who have been reading everyday. We celebrated by going outside on the scooters in the sunshine. With our mini first aider, Jenson, keeping everyone safe and keeping plasters close by!

This afternoon, in Crew FE we learnt a little bit more about ‘The Water Cycle’, including ‘precipitation’, ‘condensation’ and ‘evaporation’. Crew members had lots of great questions to ask to enhance their learning further which was amazing to see and I loved how involved everyone got! We then spent the rest of the lesson making our own ‘Water Cycle Wheels’ so that we could share them with everyone else!

I’m so proud of all of the children in Crew Welburn for trying their very best each and every day with their reading. Our books are becoming a little bit more tricky as we move further through the year, but everyone is challenging themselves to use special friends, Fred talk, read the word, to show how smart they are getting in their reading. It is lovely to see the children working in their pairs to support each other and to cheer each other on 🙌🏻

We loved welcoming all of the male figures into school today! It was lovely to see everyone and we hope you all enjoyed your breakfasts…The children were definitely full!

I had the best start to a Thursday with our READING STARs from this week. We enjoyed a croissant and orange juice and then we chatted a little bit about reading and why we enjoy it. We then explored the library and had a little bit of time looking/reading some books . I am
incredibly proud ⭐️

As part of our case study ‘Where did Mae Jemison’s journey take her’ we have been exploring the solar system and the work of Peter Thorpe who created space artwork. Today, we created our solar system in a bottle, some had moons, others had stars and my favourite was light!
