Becoming little chefs 👩🍳🧑🍳
To build on our knowledge from our previous lesson, where food comes from, today we looked at what makes up a balanced diet and compared this to our diets. We explored different food groups: carbohydrates, protein, vegetables and fruit, dairy and fat. Charlie then came up with an idea that we could source and produce our own lunch. We created our own healthy lunches ready to make 🧑🍳👩🍳 Mr T kindly brought us some passion fruit, papaya and coconut to try 🥥 it was very tasty!

Crew Godley super readers!
This week we’ve had a great week with so many children reading at home to their grown ups and siblings. The children have been so proud in academic crew sharing their reading scores with their peers. Today, those children who read three or four times this week received a ’get smart’ postcard because it shows they are most certainly getting smart when they can apply our phonics to read more fluently. Thomas, our little reading super star read five times, as he does every week! We thought this deserved a celebratory big bar of chocolate!

Crew Godley Reading Cafe
We have loved having parents in again for our reading cafe this week, thank you again for spending the time to come and read with your children! 🥰 We look forward to seeing more parents next Thursday at 2.45 😊

Bouncin into the weekend…
Congratulations to the children who received 100% attendance in the last challenge and received time on a bouncy castle as a reward.
It was great to see more children receiving the reward this time. 😁

Show and Tell in Crew MI
Warning… Don’t look if you’re scared of spiders haha!!

World Book Day in Crew MI
We had a great day doing lots of different activities: making bookmarks, creating new front covers, writing facts for a non-fiction book, lots of reading and we even retold our own version of the ‘Three Little Pigs’.

Tag (xp outdoor)
So in xp outdoors the children played tag where they all had some material hanging out of their pocket . Then the aim of the game was to try and get each others tag to get them out until there is 1 person left. they found this really fun and burned off lots of energy.
LKS2(Group 4)
So today in xp outdoors LKS2 group 4 did loop de loop. where they all had to hold hands and then be able to past the hoop around the circle without letting go of the persons hand. they really enjoyed this and watching the staff get involved as well.
