LKS2 played a game of Hide and Seek, in order to experience the dangers of being found in public, during Curfew time. The adults played the role of the Wujing, the secret police in the book we are reading – Running on the Roof of the World. The children experienced different feelings, including exciting and worried about being caught. Check out the images below:

Creative Crew!
Today in Crew Nursery we have been working hard using different materials to make bear pictures!

Today Stripes the Elf noticed Jenson playing kindly alongside friends in the sand and Lincoln building a train track for his friend when they were upset.
We are proud 🤩
Another secure day in Crew Mcloughlin and we are so proud of every single one of us😃
It’s Time for Tea!
Today in Crew Nursery the children brewed peppermint tea in the water tray. They enjoyed exploring how the tea bags changed the colour of the water and thought it smelled lovely!
The children used peppermint teabags to brew tea in the teapot, then poured their tea into mugs and gave it a stir. Some children extended the activity by using funnels and jugs to pour their tea.

Today Stripes the Elf noticed Georgie sharing out the fruit with her friends and Ruby Mae and Alexus working hard to draw their beautiful bear pictures.

Today, Year 3 and 4 enjoyed discussing and listening to tips about being safe, when near roads. They discussed better visibility and even tested out the most effective lighting when it is dark out. Thanks for all of the advice!

Today in Crew Nursery we have been getting creative in the playdough, we made Christmas trees and snowmen, some of the children used cutters and to make star biscuits!

Today Stripes the Elf noticed Arabella and Lily Grace playing with the nativity set together and sharing the figures, Alexus helping Archie to find his shoes and Lincoln sharing a book with Daliyah, then reading it to the teddies together!

Well done Everyone!
What a busy week we’ve had! We have worked hard to develop our art skills, working alongside Natasha Clarke, a very talented, local artist. She helped us to perfect our sketching and painting skills ready for our final products. We had so much fun!
We have also been working hard to develop our Crew building skills by solving some tricky challenges. Our favourite one this week was creating ‘The Leaning Tower of Feetza’. Who could build the tallest tower using only our shoes! It was so much fun! We have some true leaders in Crew Godley.
In our expeditionary writing this week we have been researching the inspirational, Wilma Rudolph. We found out what an incredible woman she was, who never gave up despite so many challenges in her young life. We were blown away by her determination and the fact that she had 21 siblings! Nearly the size of our Crew!
Today in Crew Nursery we’ve had a very exciting, busy day! We’ve worked really hard to decorate our classroom and put up the Christmas tree as a surprise for our friends when they come back to school on Monday!

Stripes the Elf is very proud of how kind all the children have been today, helping each other, sharing decorations and working hard as a crew. Well done Crew Nursery!

It is non-uniform for Crew Gerrard only (Year 3) after winning the treat on our Howl-opoloy spin last week! 🙂
Today Stripes saw Macey hang another child’s coat up and Archie tidy up the construction blocks, even though he had not been playing with them! Stripes noticed that Aubree was helpful all day and showed kindness towards her friends by helping them with their learning activities. Aubree was our HOWL hero today!
Stripes was blown away by the pictures that Crew Nursery drew of him! The children showed good listening skills by following step-by-step instructions and they worked hard to concentrate on their learning!
Stripes also enjoyed playing ‘teachers’ with some of the children today. Penelope gathered some of her friends for a crew circle and played the crew leader. She reminded the children how they could be kind at school.
