This morning in crew we took some time to go through our books and think about presentation. As well as considering what we are doing well as a crew, we thought about ways to be even better. Some really good critique using out I praise and I wonder phrases.

Today, we have been learning more about Martin Luther King who peacefully protested for equal rights for all black people. We learned about how this man’s willingness to stand up for what was right made vital changes to laws so black people had equal rights. Some great discussions and mini crew work to start building background knowledge.

The children were exploring the drainpipes and stands in outdoor provision this morning and I was amazed at how well they worked together to problem solve! They manoeuvred the pipes to create a shoot for a ball to roll down, and reflected each time on whether or not it had worked, and improved it to make the ball stay in the shoot and roll further. I was amazed at the perseverance and concentration form everyone to make a fantastic shoot for the ball!
In grammar today we looked at apostrophe for contractions. Crew MI and Crew Boswell worked well in groups matching the right words together.
This morning we have loved bird watching and seeing what birds are at Carcroft school.
Fantastic p.e session today with Crew MI and Crew Boswell learning more techniques in taekwondo.
We created anchor charts to support us with some of our arithmetic questions 🙂
