As part of crew today, we discussed how it is healthy eating week and what this means to us. We came up with some fantastic ways to eat healthy such as eating a balanced diet and making sure we have our 5 a day! We created a design for a lorry that inspires people to enjoy healthy, sustainable food. 🍇🍌

We are still working really hard in Crew MI to make sure that we are prepared for secondary school in September. This morning, we played with the timestable cards because we know it is really important we confident with these. After that, we played a fraction game where we had to roll a dice to generate fractions and then decide where to put them so we could add or subtract them to get the biggest numbers. Finally, we played Countdown numbers game. This was great fun!

This afternoon, we used maps and iPads to locate the rivers in Doncaster and the UK. We really enjoyed finding the River Don that runs through Doncaster and then expanding our search to finding rivers in the UK finding other well known rivers such as Thames, Severn, Ouse and Humber.

We have loved our afternoon playing rounders in the sunshine. I am very impressed with how quickly we picked the game up!

So far this week Rupert and Rosie have spent time reading with Sydney, SJ, Freddie and Lilly-Mae. Here are some photos of their adventures. Who will be next to read?

Charlotte was the lucky girl who got to take home Ruby to read with, we cant wait to hear and see what they have got up to!

This afternoon, we have been consolidating our knowledge on simple, compound and complex sentences.
Simple – contains one clause
Compound – joins 2 simple sentences together using coordinating conjunctions.
Complex – joins clauses together using subordinating conjunctions.
We are doing our best to fill any gaps on learning before we complete assessments next week.
