Today we started to join our photo frame together 🙂

Today we started to join our photo frame together 🙂

Some very proud children in MI today 🙂

Today we started to think about the art work that will be part of our photo frames for our final product. We looked at and discussed a picture that we will be using as a stimulus then we gave some critique to Mrs McClare based on her model. We had a go at drawing the outline on our picture before using oil pastels to create our patterns. We really enjoyed starting this piece of work and everyone is eager to do more!

We were all excited to get stuck into case study 3, our design and technology case study!

Look at our amazing final pieces of Dennis Creffield/Great Fire of London artwork.
We have spent a lot of time practising using charcoal and this afternoon we applied that to our artwork!

Today we completed our 5th draft using charcoal to perfect our technique before doing it on our final product. However this time we used the technique to draw London houses. We are definitely getting good at charcoal in Crew Marsh!

After already doing 3 drafts of our Dennis Creffield drawing of our school, today we did our 4th practice to improve on our artwork. We did this by reflecting and critiquing our previous artwork and how we could improve it.

During our writing lesson, some children access labs of learning to enhance their knowledge of vocabulary which they then use in their pieces of writing. Today the children were shown how to use the iPads to access a QR code which then led to a step by step video teaching them how to draw Little Red Riding Hood. The children worked in pairs to do this and all worked extremely hard to use these new skills and produced a great piece of art work!
