Today we began our new writing unit and made predictions about what we thought might happen in the story. A few eagle eyed children even thought they recognised the story! I can’t wait to see what they all produce this time!

Today in maths we consolidated our learning of the digital clock which we found tricky before half term. Well done to everyone, you worked so hard!

We have been busy writing our own poems based on “The little boy who cannot see”. We used lots of similes to describe different colours and some amazing onomatopoeia too!
Some of these poems will be printed onto boards for our new eco-garden. Great work CrewRobson!
Thank you to everyone who joined us this afternoon for the LKS2 festival of sport. The sun came out and we all had a great time! We loved hearing you cheer each other on and show sportsmanship!
Thank you to those parents who showed courage to take part in a race too!!

Today we continued being geographers by comparing the UK and Svalbard.
We noticed they are both islands, both have polars bears and mountains.
Svalbard doesn’t have have any trees but the UK does.

CrewRobson enjoyed practicing performing poetry today to hook them into our new writing unit.

Year 3 loved sharing their stories inspired by ‘The Journey Home’ with FS1, Year 2 and Year 5.
The staff were very impressed with their stories and how confidently they read them.
Well done CrewRobson!
Last week, our Year 3/4 girls’ cricket team took part in a Girls’ Cricket Competition and delivered an outstanding performance throughout. Demonstrating excellent crew work, determination and skill, the team progressed brilliantly and were crowned champions, proudly bringing home the trophy. An incredible achievement – well done to all involved!

Today in maths we recapped our coins and their values before starting our Yr3 money unit. It was great to see how much the children could remember from Yr2!
