Welcoming spring!
We have loved going to see our forest area today to welcome spring! Look at how Carcroft crews have worked together to create a beautiful spring display.

Yesterday, we worked collaboratively to produce Origami bees and frogs for the XP Outdoor area as part of our new topic ‘Welcoming Spring’ in XP outdoors!
Easter Egg Competition Winners in Crew Thompson!
Yesterday, we brought in our decorated easter eggs. As a crew, we voted for two which were decorated the best . Well done to our winners!
Welcome Spring(xp outdoors)
Hedgehog house!🦔
In KS1 as a team we have created a hedgehog house for hedgehogs to hibernate in. It is part of our welcoming spring topic in XP outdoors. We can’t wait to see the forest tomorrow!
Drama/Dance
This morning the children took part in some drama and dance during their PE lesson. They had to act out particular words but put some dance moves with them. A great job done by all.
Chotting for our character description
We have started to gather y6 quality vocabulary, phrases and figurative language to help us with our writing. We focussed on the appearance of the character from our newspaper article and then applied some of the chotting we did to our own sentences.
Angles continue in MI
Some fantastic collaborative working today as we explored angles at a point.

Today we used our chotting ideas from yesterday to start writing our plot point on our characters appearance. There was some great language being used along with figurative language 🙂
