Non uniform day on Tuesday 5th of July, supporting our Summer Fair.

We had great fun playing rounders yesterday. We started with football rounders to get used to the rules and how to play then we progressed to rounders. First, we used a tennis racket to practise our hitting then some of us challenged ourselves to use the proper rounders bat. This was a fantastic crew activity where we worked together on our HOWLs, particularly our being kind one, where we were supportive and respectful to our peers.

Today, as a crew, after our handwriting session we decided that we would like to share with each other the amazing progress we had made with our handwriting this term. We collaborated and decided to carry out a gallery walk to showcase our most improved piece. We then ‘noticed’, ’praised’ and ’wondered’ whilst critiquing our handwriting. We just had to share the amazing progress of one young man, Harrylee. He won’t mind me sharing that he finds handwriting difficult and would rather be climbing a tree! Just look at that smile when he realised how much positive praise he had received from his crew today 🥰🥰 We have some great cursive handwriting developing daily from our crew. Keep up the great work Crew Godley!

Today in PE we had multiple stations to practise for our upcoming sports day, in hope that some of Crew Mcloughlin will be coming home with a medal🥇 Everyone participated, gave their all and showed great sportsmanship, what more could I ask for? 🤩

Good evening everyone!
Just a quick reminder for all Year 5s that tomorrow’s session will be continuing to look at water safety. Please can everyone bring shorts and t-shirt (or loose-fitting pyjamas if nothing else) in addition to normal kit and uniform. These clothes will be worn over the top of the swimming kit for the session.
Thank you,
Year 5 Crew
The children with wacky hair look fabulous! Please remember to sign up to crew blogs to see all the fantastic things we get up to ☺️
