We’ve been very busy today in Crew Welburn. We had a special visitor in this morning to help us with our artwork! Natasha Clarke is a local artist who was helping us to perfect our sketching and painting skills ready for our final products!
Then, this afternoon, we got to decorate our classroom ready for Christmas! 🎅🏼 It was very exciting and we loved being able to spend time building our relationships as a crew.
Over the next two days, KS1 children will be working with the talented artist Natasha Clarke to create artwork for their finished product.

We started the day by walking down to Adwick train station to get the 9:27 train into Doncaster 🚂 . Getting our steps in! We arrived at the station and then walked through town to get to the Danum Library, museum and art gallery 🖼. This was the first time for many of us 😀.
We began the learning with a workshop which was focused all around our expedition guiding question 🚂 🚊 🚆 .
After lunch, we toured the museum and then visited one of last years final product (When is it right to make a stand for what we believe in?) that is displayed in Frenchgate 👩🎨 👨🎨 🎨. We felt super proud today 🤩.
Following a recent alert from the Department of Education, we are requesting that all staff, visitors and contractors are to wear face coverings in communal areas within the school building. Therefore please can you wear a face covering when coming into school. If you are medically exempt please ensure you have proof to show staff.
We’re keeping a close eye on information coming from the local authority and government and will update you further if any other changes occur.
Thank you for your continued support with the rules we have to implement that are out of our control.
