Bouncy castle fun 🎉

As an end of term treat we got to spend some time on the bouncy castle and take part in some Easter games and activities! We had SO much fun – thank you Mrs Godley for organising it for everyone! 🥰

Easter Egg-stravaganza in Nursery! 🐰🐣

It’s been a very egg-citing but very busy time in Nursery recently, with lots of Easter crafts and activities keeping us entertained on the run up to Easter.

We’ve had our first Easter bonnet parade – we walked around school so everyone could see our beautiful hats and bonnets before joining F2 and KS1 on the playground to showcase all of our hard work.

We also made our own Easter bags so that we could collect treats from the Easter Bunny after our egg hunt. We made our bags so that they looked like baby chicks – we think they look very cute and we loved how they turned out!

Then we took our Easter bags with us as we went on a walk around school to look for clues from the Easter Bunny! We saw his ears bouncing past our classroom window so decided to follow by setting off in that direction on our hunt. Mrs Atherton and Miss Whitehead asked us what we were looking for and we were so excited to tell them that the Easter Bunny had been in our school and we were following his clues! Unfortunately, he was too quick for us and we did not see him but the clues led us to a stash of treat that had been left outside our classroom! Thank you Easter Bunny! 🐰

As a final treat, we made Easter nests with melted chocolate and cereal before adding some mini eggs to the top. We made a couple of extras and delivered them to Mrs Canning and Mrs Wilcox in the admin office as a thank you for everything they do for our school.

Nursery in outdoor provision

Crew McGlone have really been enjoying spending time outside – we really love being in our outdoor area! We’re very much looking forward to the nicer weather that we hope is coming soon so that we can spend even more time out here and maybe bring some of our crew activities outside too!

XP Outdoors – Welcoming Spring 🌼🐞🪲

We have welcomed Spring by creating playdough creatures to add to our whole school display in our Forest School.

To begin, we use our rolling skills to create the bodies of our creatures before then pushing and pressing extra details to finalise our creatures. We are so pleased with how they turned out!

Later in the week we got the opportunity to go and see our creations on display in the forest. We really enjoyed seeing our insects as part of the display and we liked looking at what the rest of school had contributed too.

Easter Fun time

It was lovely for the children to take part in some Easter fun before we welcome the half term holiday. The crew have worked so hard this term so they deserved some down time as a treat. Mrs Rhodes and I even tried some face painting.

Wishing Crew Shields a very happy and safe Easter holiday.

Welcoming Spring

Yesterday, Crew Shields enjoyed a walk through our forest school where we could observe the beautiful items made by all the other Crews. It certainly put a smile on our faces as we think about the delights of Spring.
