A great job by Crew Shields this afternoon as they supported the rest of the crews with keeping our school community clean and safe.
They had a short time outside but managed to fill a couple of bags with rubbish. The most fascinating thing found was some small bones so only naturally they had to have a picture taken with it.
During Scotty’s heroes today, the children were challenged to complete an assault course while blindfolded. They had to work in pairs so they could guide each other through safely. This required clear and precise instructions not only to get through the course but to keep each other safe. Some great instructions and collaboration. Well done Crew Shields.
Today we thought about and discussed remembrance day. We watched different clips to help us understand what remembrance day is and to generate further discussions. We then worked collaboratively to make a variety of poppy wreaths.

The children have made their own bear sandwiches today using bananas and chocolate spread. They first had to spread the chocolate using the knife and then cut the banana into three pieces to create a bears face. We counted 2 pieces of banana for the bears eyes and 1 piece of banana for the bears nose. The children then enjoyed their creations. They were very tasty!
This week we’re continuing our work with fractions. It’s great seeing everyone working hard to get smart but the standout praise is for how well we support each other if we’re struggling!
This morning we have played shark attack to start our day!
Today we evaluated how far a counter could go using the catapults we made yesterday. We used our counting skills and a ruler to help measure.
We have loved making catapults in class, following instructions step by step.
