What a fabulous Friday we have had in Crew Welburn! We have worked really hard in our phonics and reading lesson, and we have been superstars in maths! Our favourite part of today was seeing each other’s pictures of our favourite things that express ourselves and learning a little bit more about things we like and dislike.🌟

It has been good to be back in Crew Mcloughlin today! The Crew has been full of chatter and laughter… a bit too much at times😂 but I know they have all missed socialising with the rest of Crew so we will let them off!

Friday is now complete! We’ve had another great day of learning. The children have worked really hard on their reading skills and they have improved their knowledge on how to find equivalent fractions, showing their fantastic attitudes to learning, once more. It’s been difficult to choose a HoWL hero today, because of these reasons, but they are:

Star moment today was spending time with the crew outside at break and lunchtime, I thoroughly enjoyed having down time with them and chatting to them about their interests.💕 💕😊

Average is: 2.7 – a massive improvement from yesterday.

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Crew Marsh need to continue next week to make sure they are fully concentrating on their learning and listening to instructions, we have been chatty, getting involved in eachothers business and not always having a positive attitude.

Thursday✅

We had some special visitors this afternoon on our screen! They zoomed in from Lincoln Castle to teach us all about battles, invasions, kings and queens 👑 🏹 We all found this really interesting and worked on our question asking skills to find out more information.

Today we continued making our rocket pictures using different shapes, the children are getting really smart at identifying rectangles, triangles, squares and circles! Fantastic work! 🤩🚀

We had lots of fun in music this morning where we listened to different types of music such as bollywood and Chinese music. We then played our instruments in time to the music and played them soft and slow. We are getting really good at following the stop signal! 🤚🏼

This afternoon we were astronauts and tasted space food. We tasted dried strawberries and dried apple 🍎 Most of the children tried them and said they liked it. I was really proud of them for having a try, even though the food didn’t look appetising!

Another whirlwind day in Crew Wilson!

Highlight of the day:

In writing this term we have written all about Zog and his adventures in school. Today we used all of our writing knowledge to create two sentences independently! We had some fantastic work produced which we will carry on with tomorrow, well done Crew Wilson!

Harlie has worked really hard today in all of her lessons, she consistently makes sure she produces beautiful work and is always listening when I am speaking. Well done Harlie! 💕

Thursday complete! I cannot praise Crew Gerrard anymore after their resilience, perseverance and determination. You were amazing during reading and produced some great work and, even though maths was tricky, you kept going. I promise that you will get there with the fractions, it just takes time. It’s been really difficult to select our HoWL heroes today, but they are:

Get Smart: Amelia – you independently completed the reading and maths, which was quite tricky to grasp 😃
