Some fantastic writing in MI…

To build on our knowledge from yesterdays lesson of where food comes from, today we looked at what makes up a balanced diet. We firstly had to look at the different food groups: carbohydrates, protein, vegetables and fruit, dairy and fat. The children came up with their tea idea ensuring it was balanced.

Today in Crew Marsh we trecked through the jungle to a river, where we met a crocodile. The crocodile was feeling very hungry!!

In KS1 for world book day we are asking children to bring in their favourite teddy bear, children will be joining in with a range of activities with their teddies all day ending with a teddy bears picnic where favourite books can be shared and yummy snacks can be eaten.
Rather than it just being a Y1 reading cafe this Thursday it will be a KS1 reading cafe, Y2 parents are also invited to come and read with their children at 2:45pm. Go to your child’s classroom door to be let in.
I have been very impressed today with how much Crew Marsh have learnt about where the food that they eat comes from! 🐷🐮

Today we developed our knowledge on how to answer 2 and 3 mark questions that refer to mood and atmosphere. We used APE to support our answers and worked collaboratively to structure our points. Finally we worked independently then allowed our partners to offer critique on our answers. A really great lesson MI 🙂
