Crew Welburn have had lots of fun taking part in their Easter activities this week! From our brilliant bonnet parade and chick baskets, to the bouncy castle this afternoon, we’ve all had such a fantastic end to our week!

The children have loved been outside this week and have shown how brave they all are when creating new games. The children have spent time exploring forces and have particularly enjoyed making rollercoasters and seeing how fast they can go! Using crates, ropes, bikes and they muscles to push and pull, they explored how to make super speedy rides 🎢
We’ve ABSOLUTELY had an amazing couple of days celebrating Easter, starting with retelling the Easter story. Dominic had so much knowledge about Christianity!
We then took part in our Easter bonnet parade, we had some amazing creations which the children had worked so hard on. Such hard worked paid off because the Easter Bunny heard and paid us a visit today, we had to solve the clues to find our treats. Luckily, he didn’t out smart us!

We have loved going to see our forest area today to welcome spring! Look at how Carcroft crews have worked together to create a beautiful spring display.
Yesterday, we worked collaboratively to produce Origami bees and frogs for the XP Outdoor area as part of our new topic ‘Welcoming Spring’ in XP outdoors!
Yesterday, we brought in our decorated easter eggs. As a crew, we voted for two which were decorated the best . Well done to our winners!
Stepping Stones
This week, the children worked in mini crews to complete their crew challenge. They had to go from one side of the playground to the other using their ’stepping stones’. The children communicated exceptionally well to work together to complete the challenge. Some children took on the role of a leader in their mini crews, providing clear guidance for their friends and supporting each other when they found it difficult.
Well done everyone, you did a great job!
Well done to everyone in our crew who took part in our Easter egg competition. Our crew thoroughly enjoyed voting for their winners, it certainly was a close call. Everyone had such wonderful and kind comments to share.
