Today in our first hook week lesson we thought about planet Earth and what makes it so special.
The children came up with their own ideas about why Earth is so amazing including how it is our home and how it supports life for humans and animals .
Finally we linked this to the speech made by Christina Koch, the mission specialist onboard Artemis II, which has just returned from her journey to the moon. She talked about what she used to think crew was. Her closing statement was “Planet Earth, you are a crew!”
We will continue to explore this more in-depth over the rest of the week.
