Crew Mcloughlin Weekly Blog 29.04.21

Well we have had another busy week in Crew Mcloughlin, read on to see what we have been getting up to👀…

📝Out of this world writing (No pun intended)

In our Write Stuff lessons, we are narrating the ending scene of ‘gravity’. As you can see from the pics the children are on the edge of their seats writing these gripping scenes. They have blown me away with their writing so far and some of the children’s writing has been celebrated on our sentence stackers! Keep going Crew you’re all making me so proud!!!

Expedition ESA mission – Air resistance🪂

We are working on our ESA mission to investigate air resistance. We have had to work collaboratively and use our team working skills in order for this investigation to be successful. They had just 5 tokens to buy and select the resources to use… they surprised me with their great budgeting skills as I know from their stories about shopping trips at the weekend, this is not always the case😆. The children have shown great perseverance skills as many were too eager to show their design and technology skills off rather than thinking logically about our hypothesis of how surface area will affect air resistance. We have got their in the end though and loved this investigation!

and last but not least… clearly where their the most happiest by the looks of this photo… our weekly swimming lesson🏊🏼‍♀️

They make me beam with pride when they return from swimming. It is lovely to see how proud they are and eager to fill me in on their achievements. Keep it up!🤩
