On Monday in Crew, Children were asked to take part in some role play where they had to decide the ending to a scenario. We had been discussing the qualities that we look for in a friend and how to identify these with the people around them. Most children decided that their scenario would end with a breakdown of the friendship as we should always celebrate the successes of other but one group decided the friendship would stay together as friendship is more important.
On Tuesday, Mrs Rhodes had another great challenge for us especially as it required us to use some maths skills. Children were asked to estimate the length of certain objects such as a tape measure, an extendable dog lead and a skipping rope. They didn’t get to see the object stretched out first but had to base on their own knowledge of these objects. They worked together to decide where it would reach to and an estimation of length.
