Crew Thiede 1.3.21

What a busy day!

We started our day getting cosy in our new reading area. We shared books with teachers, friends and even the teddies! We think they really loved hearing the stories. 📚

Later on we did some body percussion. We made lots of loud and quiet sounds using our hands, feet, mouths and bellies. We especially enjoyed it when we played music along with the sounds we were making.

Today our HOWL score was 2.8.

🌟 Our HOWL hero is Charlie-Jade. She has been a lovely role model to our crew showing green standard sitting and lots of focus. Well done, Charlie-Jade 👏🏻

Crew Marsh: 2/3/21

✨Star moment✨

Star moment today was seeing the children in PE, they worked so well together in their teams and have started to learn that losing is okay.. this was great to see as I know sometimes that they find this tricky.👍👍

Average is: 3.0!

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Again in PE today, I feel so proud about how well they worked together as team. 💕

Crew Marsh’s target tomorrow is to make sure they are concentrating on their learning and not as much talking, this seems to be more in the afternoon now.

Howl hero:

Get smart hero today is Harper!

Harper your work has been beautiful all day! I have been blown away by how neat every single piece of work has been and the amount of effort you have put into this. Well done! 😁

Crew Kent Blog 2.3.21

Today, we could’ve given everyone HOWL hero… but the lucky 3 were:

Work hard: Kelby – for fantastic improvement in her handwriting.

Get smart: Kai – for persevering with Fractions in Math.

Be kind: Deacon – for supporting his crew with their work.

🤩 We are super proud to say that our HOWL average today is 3.0! We’ve worked super hard to achieve this and we’re really now thinking about what each HOWL really means.

Tuesday✅

Today we got to start case study 2 in expedition. In this case study, we are learning all about materials and their properties. We’ve had lots of fun searching for objects around the classroom and labelling the material that they are made from. We’re super scientists in Crew Welburn!🌟

HOWL Heroes:

Work hard: Jamie👏

Get smart: Harrylee 👏

Be kind: Lylah👏

HOWL Score: 2.8 We will work on this tomorrow Crew Welburn…

Hello March! 🌷☀

Pinch, punch, first of the month!

It was lovely to start the month with having 3 of our crew members return to the crew today! Welcome back Jazmin, Hannah-May and Kacey-Leigh! It was so lovely to see your faces today! 💕

Star moment of the day:

Today’s star moment has got to be our ‘Hooked on Books’ session today. We tried a ‘pick and mix’ approach to answering questions in today’s lesson and the children really enjoyed it and as a result many children achieved ‘Green standard’! Great work today Crew Elmer! 📚👍

Todays HoWL average is: 2.9

This is a great score for a Monday and for the first day of the month! Hopefully we can keep this up and when our fellow crew members return on Monday we can above a 3.0!

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Some members of Crew Elmer need to make sure that they are focused on their learning at all times as some children were very chatty today and this caused their HoWLs to be a lot lower than they should be!

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today’s HoWL Hero was Lacey-Niia! Lacey-Niia was chosen by myself for working hard in Maths this morning. Lacey-Niia found division a little bit tricky after missing out on this due to home learning previously but she asked for help and this enabled her to gain a better understanding and she was then able to complete a range of division calculations independently using the bus stop method. I was so impressed with Lacey-Niia’s willingness to learn and how quickly she grasped this new concept. Amazing work Lacey-Niia! Well done!  🙌😁⭐👏

It’s a day of lovely new things! A new day, a new month and a new crew blog!

It’s been such a pleasure spending the last week getting to know the children and we were so excited to come together properly as our new crew today! ❤

The children have shown me just how well they can work hard, get smart and be kind! I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together, watch this space! 👀

Today’s HOWL hero 🌟

Get smart – Today Riley has shown his fantastic listening skills. He used his looking eyes and listening ears to show that be was focused and joined in with lots of reading! 📚

LKS2 HELP!

LKS2 are looking for some help! Do you know a dentist or dental nurse who would be willing to do an expert visit or talk to the children as part of their next expedition.

Please let us know if you would be willing to visit (or Zoom) or if you know someone who could help.

Any help would be really appreciated 🤞
