Crew Gerrard (20/11/20)

Today, we could’ve given anyone HOWL hero… but the lucky 3 were:

Work hard: Alicia 🦸‍♂️

Get smart: Riley 🦸‍♂️

Be kind: Lucas 🦸‍♂️

Learning Legend: Riley 👌

Golden Ticket: Alicia 🎟

We are super proud to say that our HOWL average today was a whopping 3.5! You have been absolutely phenomenal today Crew Gerrard and I especially loved how hard you worked on what you would make a stand for. It was really pleasing to see you all discussing what matters in this world.

Well done Crew Gerrard and make sure that you have a well deserved rest! 😆

Crew Fox blog 20.11.20

Happy Friday!

Crew Fox have managed to beat last weeks HOWL average which means a spin on the wheel for us!

We’ve began our new science topic of evolution and inheritance this week and have thought about what characteristics we’ve inherited from our parents.

Our expedition ‘when is it right to make a stand for what we believe in?’ has enabled us to have some great discussions and debates about our personal opinions.

Head over to our expedition page to see what we’ve been up to!

Crew Welburn’s Weekly Reflection

I have had the opportunity to read with some of our children this morning to see how well they are doing with their reading books. I was absolutely blown away with how confident some of the children have become with their reading! Their Fred talk and blending has improved so much an I can tell that they have practiced at home! We’ve had 12 children read 4 times this week which is fantastic Crew Welburn!

Our HOWL Heroes:

Work Hard: Lylah 🙌

Get Smart: Bronwyn🙌

Be Kind: Harry 🙌

This week’s highlights:

It is really hard to pick a highlight from this week as the children have been amazing in every lesson! Our science lesson really sticks out for me this week though. The children have been exploring the seasons and the weather and how it changes throughout the year. We’ve had some amazing vocabulary used in these lessons including Bronwyn’s use of  weather forecast to describe what a meteorologist was showing us. It is hard to believe that these children are only 5 and 6 when they come out with such fantastic vocabulary!

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.2

This weeks HoWL average is: 3.3

Weekly HoWL target: 3

✨ Well done Crew Welburn! You have been superstars this week! 🌟

Today, we could’ve given anyone HOWL hero… but the lucky 3 were:

Work hard: Mckenzie 🍗

Get smart: Lexie 🤣

Be kind: Keegan 🍔

Learning Legend: Maxi 👌

Golden Ticket: Deacon 🎟

🤩 We are super proud to say that our HOWL average today is 2.7! We’ve worked super hard to achieve this and we’re really now thinking about what each HOWL really means. However we really need to improve attendance in order to increase our HOWL average!!

Well done Crew Kent 👍

Teachers ‘work hard’ to ‘get smart’ too!

Thank you for your response. ✨

Teachers are spending the day planning and researching their next expedition for the Spring Term. They are busy thinking about what the children need to learn and researching this to improve their own knowledge and understanding of specific areas. In addition, they are busy thinking of ways to make the learning engaging for the children. A productive planning day for all involved!

Foundation Stage are just playing about with their provision in the classroom to make it an even better place to learn for your little ones

Thanks to parents for your support and we look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. 🥰🙌

Crew Longley – 18.11.2020

A busy week and day full of reading, maths, writing and dance today. One of our favourite days of the week.

Today’s HoWL average 3.1

Our HoWL target is: 2.9

How can we develop  Continue to focus on reading the question and making sure we are answering it correctly.

Howl Hero

Our Hero today was Isabella. She has really worked hard to develop our new dice skill this afternoon.

Exciting News! 🤩

Crew Elmer beat their average HoWL target last week! 🤩 Frankie got to spin the wheel and the prize that we have received is a ‘non-school uniform day’. I thought it would be a lovely idea to do this on Friday 27th November (which is when my isolation period ends and I will be returning to work)! The children can literally wear whatever they want (fancy dress, onesie, party frock etc.) 🧛‍♂️🎅👼👗👖👕 as long as it is practical for the classroom and outdoor play. I can’t wait to see what the children choose to wear! 😬
