Crew Thiede 15.10.20

What a thrilling Thursday!

Highlight of the day

We started our day at a virtual crew hangout with children at Green Top Primary School! We met Crew Miller and Crew Good who gave us some wonderful feedback on our Be Kind project! They loved how many ways year 2 showed kindness! 😀

Then we had a big surprise when the fire alarm went off! 🔊 All the children were sensible and not as worried as last time, we were very impressed 👏🏻

HOWLs

Today our HOWL score was 3.4 ⬆️

Today our HOWL heroes were

🌟 Work hard – Charleigh G

🌟 Get smart – Harry

🌟 Be kind – Rome and Sasha

Crew Boswell – 15.10.20

Our highlight was having the chance to speak with a crew from another school and learning a little more about how to improve our HoWLs as well as receiving feedback for our recent video showing what kindness means to us.  We were all a little nervous at first but then really pleased with what was said about our work!

Don’t forget non-uniform tomorrow!

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.0

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 2.8

I wonder if…

I wonder if we can ensure our non-uniform day tomorrow by all scoring 3 or 4 for our Work Hard HoWL.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Be Kind hero today is Tyler!

A great day, Tyler.  Hard to pick just the one HoWL that Tyler has excelled in today so we’ve chosen Be Kind as we’ve been working on this one over the last few weeks.  He continues to be a thoughtful member of our crew and is constantly (and quietly) looking out for others and ensuring that he is there to support if they need.

Crew Nicholson Daily Blog 15.10.20

We’ve had an excellent day today in Crew Nicholson 🌟 We have worked hard to understand what it means to stay on gold standard, with some children achieving green standard today. Lets see if we can get more children up tomorrow!

The children are really enjoying our work of people who help us and we explored this more today using some role play and props. We dressed up as doctors, taking it in turn to be the doctors and patients. I noticed some children using excellent vocabulary getting into their role and there was some really lovely turn taking 🥰

The children then spotted the rubbish bin lorry outside and we stood and watched them empty the big bins. The children were fascinated and were proud that they could identify them as people who help us. As they drove off, they treated us to a wave and a big beep of the horn!

HOWL Hero

Being Kind – Alissia

Alissia always greets us starting the day with a lovely ‘good morning’ to each and every member of staff 🥰 She uses lovely manners and has done some excellent sharing today. Well done Alissia 🌟
