Crew Godley Daily Blog 20.10.20

Team work has been the motto of today! We have shown we are ‘Crew’ in so many ways ☺️

It was great to observe our children working independently as a crew to play outdoor games. Normally the games we play need a lot of adult interaction, today the children amazed me by working collaboratively with very little support 🤩 The children were able to solve their own problems and work our solutions. It made me so proud that they were able to do this at such a young age.

We continued to work on our expedition today and there was some fantastic role play taking place! See if you can guess what they children were pretending to be 🚗

Crew Marsh 20/10/20

Today as a crew we loved eating jam sandwiches in our writing lesson. Eating the sandwich meant that we could really describe how the miners would have found eating their sandwich after a long shift down the pit.

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.3! 👍

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.2

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Tomorrow, Crew Marsh need to chat less about thing that wont help with the task, save these chats for break time.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Get Smart hero today is Sophia!

The Crew recognised that Sophia has been working really hard all day and that Sophia always works hard and therefore this will make sure that she will get smart. Well done Sophia, Crew Marsh is proud of you!

Get Smart: This Howl goes to Debbie-Mae for showing her fantastic listening skills today, she has had no reminders at all! Well done Debbie-Mae!

Our HOWL heroes are…

Work hard: Kyden 😁

Get smart: Evie😁

Be kind: Kairen😁

Our HOWL average was 2.9 today. This is better than yesterday Crew Welburn, but we’re still below the minimum expectation…We can do better than this tomorrow 🤞

Crew Shields – 20/10/20

Today, Crew Shields have had a successful day with live lessons. The children have really enjoyed writing the last plot point for their non-fiction piece of writing. We really enjoyed listening to some of the children read their writing aloud. Well done everyone.

Today’s HoWL average is: 2.8

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this tomorrow?

To improve further, Crew Shields need to ensure they are following instructions the first time and staying in their seats.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Be Kind hero today is Tommy!

Tommy has been really helpful towards other children and the adults in class. He has gone out of his way to support others with their learning. This was lovely to see. Well done Tommy.

Crew Elmer Daily Blog 19.10.20

Happy Monday! 😊 There were no Monday blues in Crew Elmer today when we knew it was the last Monday before half term! 🙌 The children also loved today as Miss Hart and Miss Clarke got to teach them all morning whilst Mrs Elmer did some exciting planning for next half term! 💻😁📒

Star moment of the day: ⭐

Well my first ‘star moment’ was hearing about the fabulous work that children have been doing at home this weekend! This is fantastic Crew Elmer and I definitely want to see more of this! Working extra hard at home is going to help you to become extra smart! Excellent! I also loved being sent this photos on Saturday of Lacey working extra hard and receiving some great writing from Esme this morning! Fab work girls!

Excited to see your expedition work tomorrow Frankie!

This afternoon in class I was really blown away with our ‘Hooked on Books’ session! 📒 The children were all on task and are now really confident at identify the different FANTASTIC lenses within a given text. I was also impressed with how well some of the children attempted to use the sentence starter and bonus words! There were lots of ‘Book Talk’ points earnt in today’s lesson! Same again for tomorrow please Crew Elmer whist you are being filmed! 🤞👍

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.3

This is a great score for a Monday Crew Elmer! I think I am going to spend the morning out of class more often! 👏

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Tomorrow Crew Elmer need to make sure that they continue to work hard, get smart and be kind at all times! Especially (as I keep saying!) at play and lunch times. Maybe in crew time we can think of some Crew games to help with this?

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today Crew Elmer had some lovely praises for each other 💕😊 However, the HoWL hero went to Harley, who was nominated by both Miss Clarke and Mrs Elmer for consistently ‘working hard’ all day and in every lesson! This is great Harley! Keep this up all week please! 😁🙌👏👍
