Crew Godley Weekly Review 27.11.20

Week 4 ✅ What a busy week we’ve had, it’s flown by in the blink of an eye!

We’ve had a fantastic week exploring our text ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’ which is feeding into our final expedition piece. The children have been so confident and enthusiastic retelling the story we can’t wait to see the final production. Shania, SJ and Skyla have absolutely blown us away with their confidence when performing in front of the crew ☺️ SJ even shared some tips from his stage school  ⭐️

The children have created some fantastic ‘wanted’ posters which you may see dotted around the EYFS playground, we’re looking for the terribly big and terribly bad mouse! 🐁

Highlight of the week

This week’s highlight has to be our children who are completing homework. 📚 We can see how hard the children are working at home and this is reflected in their school work, they are becoming confident, independent little learners ⭐️  We really value the support of parents and would like to thank you for all your hard work at home.

HOWLs

Todays HOWL heroes were

🌟 Work hard – Roseanne worked hard in her writing activity labelling the characters from the story ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’

🌟 Get smart – Logan worked hard with his peers outside to create a giant map to show where the mouse was hiding. He supported his peers in counting how many steps they should add to create similar spaces in between the ‘x’s.

🌟 Be kind – Declan supported the F1 children at lunch time. He was so helpful giving out their lunches me drinks.

Crew Shields – 27/11/20

Crew Shields have been focusing on working hard and being kind. We have really tried to develop how artwork as a Crew and the ways we can support each other in learning. It has been lovely seeing the children starting to make links between their multiplication facts and division. This has been out focus in !args for the last few weeks and I can definitely see children getting smart. They should be very pleased with everything they have achieved this week. Well done everyone!

Today’s HoWL average is: 3.0

Crew Thiede 27.11.20

Week 4 ✔ what a busy week? It went in the blink of an eye!

Highlight of the day

We had a lovely discussion in Crew today. The children were thinking about stories with morals and how we can learn from them.

We watched the Lion and the Mouse. 🦁🐀 We thought about how our kind acts can influence those around us to also make kind choices. This is something we can apply in our crew so we can become stronger together.

Highlight of the week

This week’s highlight has to be our instruction writing. 📚 The children have worked so hard and produced some really amazing writing. They have met their expected standard and some even pushed their independence and some tried to deepen the moment with lots of success!

Crew Wilson Weekly Review: 27/11/2020

We have had a fantastic week in Crew Wilson, it has flown by and I cannot believe it is Friday again!

Highlight of the Week:

This weeks highlight has been the massive engagement we have had with reading and writing. Our writing is improving daily and the Crew are being very reflective about how they can make their work even better. Also, today we rewarded 17 children for reading 4 or more times this week, this is a fantastic achievement and I hope next week we will be able to reward the full class! Keep up the great work Crew Wilson, and a big thank you to all of our parents for supporting this at home!

Howl Heroes:

Work Hard: This Howl goes to Tia for working so hard on her instructional writing today. Tia assessed her work and re-wrote it independently as she wasnt happy with how it looked, well done Tia!

Get Smart:  This Howl goes to Jake for using the clues from our Write Stuff chotting to build his own sentence, well done!

Be Kind: This Howl goes to Perrie and Dalton for their brilliant attitude towards their Crew today, nothing is ever too much to ask and they are always on hand to help others, well done!

Crew Elmer Daily Blog 27.11.20

Happy Friday! 🤩🙌 What a great day today has been! 😁 It has been absolutely lovely to be back! 💕

Star moment of the day:

Today’s ‘Star moment of the day’, has got to be opening the door this morning and seeing all of the children’s lovely smiley faces! 😁 It was a lovely start to the day and really helped me to stay calm after two weeks off! The children were also really welcoming during crew time and it was lovely to hear how many children felt in the green zone because I was back! 💕 I have to add that the children have also been absolute stars ⭐ all day! Thank you Crew Elmer! 😊

Todays HoWL average is: 3.1

A great score to end the week! Well done Crew Elmer! 👏🙌👍⭐🤩

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.3

How can we develop this tomorrow?

On Monday, Crew Elmer need to ensure that they are following the HoWLs and aiming for 4’s across the board! You know you can do it crew! 👍

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today I got to choose the HoWL Hero and I picked Laila. The reason Laila was chosen for the HoWL Hero was because she worked incredibly hard in both ‘Hooked on Books’, and ‘The Write Stuff’ this morning. Although, Laila had to ask for help at times this morning she used this to her advantage and produced some excellent work! Well done Laila!
