Crew Elmer Daily Blog 09.12.20

Woeful Wednesday! We had an amazing day of learning in Crew Elmer but lots of the children left upset as it was Miss Clarkes last day in Crew Elmer! 😥 We wish her all the best in the future and we are sure you will be an amazing teacher! ⭐

Star moment of the day:

This has got to be our Write Stuff lesson this morning! The children really enjoyed tasting melon, turkey and mince pies as part of the ‘tasting lens’ that we were writing through as part of our Santa letters to FS2. This allowed the children to do lots of great ‘chotting’ which resulted in some fab sentences! Watch this space for pictures of them tasting the different food items! 🎄🎅📝✏😋🍗🥧🍈

Todays HoWL average is: 3.1

Another great day! 🙌🤩👍👏 Working hard, getting smart and being kind to each other is really helping us to keep our HoWL average up there this week! Well done Crew Elmer! 👏

This week’s HoWL target is: 3.1

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Despite me not being in the classroom for the next two days please remember to follow the HoWLs.

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Today’s HoWL hero was chosen by Miss Clarke for being an amazing HoWL Hero for the duration of her time in Crew Elmer! Miss Clarke chose the whole crew for being a great class to teach! Well done Crew Elmer on representing the school well and making it so that Miss Clarke still wants to remain in the teaching profession! 😂

🙌👍👏🤩💕⭐

Christmas Cards: 🎄✉📪

Just a little reminder that Christmas cards need to be brought into school by Friday 11th December as we need to isolate them for 72 hours before we can distribute them out. 🎅✉📪

Crew Boswell – 09.12.20

Day 9.  Our toy of the past today is Silly Putty.

Did you know that Silly Putty went into space to hold down objects in zero gravity?

Our star moment today was our work in writing.  It was great to have the opportunity to show the children how far their writing has been coming on from those early days in September.  Some have their handwriting to be proud of.  Some have the amount that they’re writing to be proud of.  Some have the development of their ideas to be proud of.  Ultimately, our writing rocks!

Today’s HoWL average is: 2.6

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 2.9

I wonder if…

I wonder if we can remember to be kind to each other and to keep the concentration going.  Just one more week!

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Be Kind HoWL Hero today is Ellie!

Ellie has shown us all how to be kind today, though this isn’t anything new.  Her manners have been impeccable and she has even helped us all to show how we actively listen.  Let’s see who remembers tomorrow, Ellie!

Crew Kent Daily Blog 9.12.20

Today in crew we have thought hard about our expedition “Mood” boards. The children have blown me away with their thoughts and feelings towards this piece of work. They have had to create a board which represents them and their beliefs. The discussions which the children were having whilst completing this task made me so proud. 🥰

Keep up the lovely empathetic work crew Kent.

Crew Marsh: 9/12/20

My star moment today was finishing and completing our writing, I cannot wait to read the children’s finished products! 🤶🎅🙌

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.3!

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Tomorrow, AGAIN we need to make sure we are chatting less and concentrating more in all lessons, especially in the afternoon!

Today’s HoWL Hero:

Our Be Smart hero today is Mark!😁

I am so proud of Mark today he has completed a piece of learning on his own with beautiful hand writing! You have made me so happy today Mark! ✨😁👏

Crew Gerrard (09/12/20)

Hi everyone,

In Crew Gerrard, we have had a great day working hard, especially on our independent writes. I have seen so much effort to make them really descriptive and interesting – well done! It was difficult to choose the HoWL heroes for today, and they are:

Working hard: Belle🦸‍♂️

Get smart: Emily🦸‍♂️

Being kind: Ruby🦸‍♂️

Our HoWL average was 3.3!

See you tomorrow, guys! 😆

Crew Shields – 9/12/20

The children have absolutely blown me away this afternoon with their dance routine. It has been lovely to see all the children participating, even those children who aren’t a fan of dancing. They have put lots of effort in and managed to pull it all together. I am super proud of them.

Today’s HoWL average is: 2.9

Our Weekly HoWL target is: 3.0

How can we develop this tomorrow?

Tomorrow, Crew Shields need to ensure they are listening carefully to instructions and not allowing themselves to be distracted by others.

Our Work Hard hero today is Maddie!

Maddie is a member of Crew Shields that consistently tries hard and endeavors to improve in all areas of her learning. This was evident this afternoon in dance where she could be seen counting along with the music to ensure she was in time. Well done Maddie!
